Hello! I am a newbie author as well so I won't be able to help much. But for me, the easiest to write would be those in realistic fiction. Other genres needs a lot of explaining from the writer which I find hard. Ex. Those cultivation novels, you have to explain every detail of how this and that works so as to not confuse the readers who doesn't know about it.
Err this is just my own opinion. I don't mean that the realistic fiction doesn't need explanations. It's just that for me, it's the easiest.
And if you have a confidence problem with your novel, I'd suggest you find someone you're close with, to discuss your story. Have their opinions or so first, (I did this actually) good or bad, it'd feel better coming from them.
Choose the genre you are most relaxed with. Different people have different writing styles. I wish you good luck! I hope you'd gain more confidence.

RyZiinG Your first novel won't be good. (I believe only at Volume 4/5 of my story, this Rabbink could make something that I will be proud.)

For example: Current first ranked author in Original AuthorWiz first account could write current Rank 1 novels after this many trials:

    WizOFTime at RR

Very few could make a masterpiece.

The best thing is just start. Don't aim for popularity. Aim for you to practice.

If you look at my novel. The beginning is WORST. Gwahahaha. [Luckily, some people could move pass those Wall of Text and Information.]

The easiest genre is the one you like. Some people suggest FanFics since you don't need to make the background and characters. However, I don't think so. A Fanfic needs to 'know' about the original story and adhered to it.

Negative Feedback would always happen. Check my novels. People who like will give 5 stars, who hate will give 1 star. If you went to RR that would be even harsher, with critics everywhere. Go there only if you confident, their standard is higher.

Sometimes the critics are correct and helpful for me to fill some plot armor and find my weakness. Yet, not all suggestions should be added, as an author you should filter them. Whether that would add to your novel. Would that change your beginning 'goal'?

However, some critics are truly TROLLs. You can check the reviewers history, see how they commented to other novels. It is not hard to find a troll. If you see a troll. Just move on. They loved to make war.

Remember since you make novel for free. The one who should enjoy your story is you.

If you are afraid of feedback, then you should not publish it before it was completed.

    If you want some 'check':
I would suggest you to 'study' (not read, read is for enjoyment) The Red Bride (It is a female novel, but even as a male you should check it). It is the best Original I saw based on the words fluidity and description.

Then check 'Reborn: Evolving From Nothing' if you didn't have SS or check The King's Avatar if you want to check the translation. If you want more sample.

'Showing and Telling' is the biggest barrier that made a difference between a good author like those and common author like this Rabbink. A common author could tell the story, but a good author could make the reader experience the story.

RyZiinG nothing is perfect on the first. Try to write and gather some experience first although only a short story.
Try to build relationships with the reader, get some advice, suggestions, critique from them
Use that to make the next novel

MasterRabbink wow thank you very much! It gave me a short laugh but yeah that’s right it is for improvement and you can’t just be perfect at something when you have just started it. Thank you very much

RyZiinG could get practice from doing the contest entries. It would allow you to get a feel for your writing style before actually committing to anything.

I think in the end writing is about sharing what you love and have experienced in your life and combining it with the dreams you have in your heart. At the end of the day, it's about telling people about your dreams and having them say, "I get it."

Just let your imagination flow and write everything you want to say. If you keep limiting yourself, you'll just get burned out in the long run.

By burned out I mean getting tired of doing repetitive things.

bcrow that’s kinda philosophical but good to understand, thx :)

If you want to gain confidence, Write a FanFic! A FanFic about Systems and Anime! You will get tons of followers and 5 Star review and positive comments!
Maybe you could use that as a stepping Stone for your Future writing

RyZiinG For me, I just remember that this is a hobby. I can't get put down by bad comments on something I am doing for fun.

RyZiinG If you have a system put that on your title. That is VERY IMPORTANT. I would suggest Reborn with Football System or Reborn with a System to Play Football.

One bad side. Most Webnovel reader are 'English Speaker'. US, India, Philippines. US loves American Football and NBA, India is the land of Cricket. Based on those, football is a bit niche here. However, it had a potential since you have little competition. Football is the number 1 sport in the World for a reason.

Check the category! Your novel already on the top of the sport category and had bigger chance to be picked by sport fans.

every child's not every children's and probably should be their dream (in the first sentence)

not sure if god being lowercase will trigger anyone. like, I'm not religious, but some people would be like, "It's God you heathen!" Unless you mean some other god. I've read much worse and don't really see anything too terrible.

RyZiinG well, for non u.s reader, using football is alright alright, but in u.s reader football = rugby
                            Why not using soccer instead?
