If I read a chapter with the PC there is no problem. But if I read a chapter with the smartphone, when I open QI again and start the chapter, it opens one chapter ahead.
To be clear, it doesn't matter if I open the chapter with the PC or the smartphone, if when I last closed QI I did it with the smartphone, is when the jump happens.
I suppose the bug is when QI memorises in which chapter I am when reading with a smartphone.
This is important because sometimes I leave a chapter half read. Then when I open again the novel, I sometimes am a chapter ahead.
Chapter jump
Just one chapter ahead? For example, you read C100 with smartphone and then continue read C100-C110 with PC. Then you open the chapter with smartphone again. it will open C109 or C100?
I don't know about jumping between PC and mobile but same thing happens to be on mobile. Granted I read in Android firefox and not the mobile app.
Way it works for me: Read all of chapter 62. I stop at the begging of chapter 63. I close the firefox browser. Next time I open firefox I'm at the bottom of chapter 63. What's weird is if I stop in the middle of a chapter and close firefox then it stays in the right place the next I open it.
dapenggaofei The jump is just one chapter.
In your example, if I were to read chapter 100 with the smartphone, if I then were to continue reading with the PC, then the novel would open at chapter 101 (one chapter ahead).
If I the were to read chapters 101-110 with the PC, if then I were to continue reading with the smartphone, the novel would open at chapter 110. (So no chapter jump now)
Thing is, that I try to finish each chapter before closing it, to avoid losing parts of the story next time I open said novel.
If I'm reading chapter 50, and then close the novel, I would like that next time I open the novel would open at chapter 50 again. Without the chapter jump.
By the way, I have noticed that now, if I read with the smartphone chapter 5 (for example), then stop reading. If I open the novel again, it will open at chapter 5 again, but there's some kind of glitch, because the title at the top will say chapter 6. If I then move the screen, the title at the top will change to say chapter 5.
As I normally read with the smartphone I consider this problem partially solved.
Still, I would like to be able to change from smartphone to PC without the chapter jump.
Thanks!
excelss It is better if you could use one of the recording apps to record some video (or SS) if you could replicate the problem. It might help the dev to find the bug.
