By the way, since one translation project is done, would any free translators be interested in the retranslation of Sorceror's Journey?
The novel is one of the few which has MC actually undertaking scientific research to advance in his magic studies. The original author's goal was to write a 'rational' story, a totally different from other similar magic world novels.
It is definitely one of the best Western Magic style novels and will definitely be extremely popular even when it is being retranslated.

And yeah, retranslation is essential. The earlier translator shamelessly butchered the writing reducing chapter content, deleted lines that were harder to translate and summarised entire paragraphs. He was renaming characters according to his whims (MC's Master's cat familiar is named Garfield) and mistranslating easily understandable terms (Lightning was somehow translated as Radium...)
Even the synopsis wasn't spared.
The first line of the synopsis: “With my knowledge, give me a fulcrum on which to place it and I shall move the world!"
Original Chinese: 给我无尽的知识，我便以自身为支点，撬动无尽世界。
Online Chinese dictionary based rough translation: Grant me endless knowledge, and using myself as the fulcrum, I shall move the Endless World!"
