            I don't think WN can get the Author to agree and allow them to translate it to English, this requires some money and royalties, and more successful novels cost more. This is why WN hardly has any top-ranking novels and instead gets 2nd or 3rd rate novels, cause they probably paid the authors 10k and 2% royalties or something.

                ssound5rs It is one of the books that's on Webnovel's list to translate, but my group has no intentions to do it.

                Some reasons are:

                The chapters vary drastically in length. From 3000 to 8000+ Chinese characters. Although we are paid more for long character counts, it still sucks to do 8000+ when that can be 3-4 chapters of other books, or even 8 chapters of female novels.

                International readers only seem to care about release rate and are less sensitive to the word count. This makes it very hard for any translator to pump out such chapters at fast rates, so it will unlikely be popular internationally.

                The story isn't really that good. It's doing well in China due to the long word count (Chinese readers are sensitive to word count). The author is basically doing on average 15,000 Chinese characters a day. Even as one of the fastest translators out there, even I can't do that consistently.

                    Translators can split the long chapters into Part A and Part B or even part C if the chapter is too long. Having a long chapter shouldn't be counted against a really good novel.

                    Chapter 320 Part C (cost 7 Spirit Stones)

                    It's wildly successful in China because the story is damn good. Not because it is long or updated frequently.

                    It has been in the top 4 for the last several months.

                        If Webnovel wants to sell more chapters...pick novels that are really good instead of mediocre novels like I Found A Planet which is not even among the Top 500 Novels ranked by Monthly Tickets. Novels like I Found A Planet won't get many buyers and will not generate any profits. Probably a huge loss for Webnovel before Webnovel drop it.

                        For April it was around Rank 600-700 or so IIRC. This novel started decent and then went downhill fast. Readers in China has abandoned it around chapter 200-300. I predict Western readers will likewise do the same.

                          We know very well it's doing well in China, and we also know the reason why it's doing well. It's not that great; the freaking content editor of the book and author knows it too. It's just powered by it's large amount of output every day.

                              Why isn't Webnovel allowed to split chapters? Webnovel is the rule maker. Webnovel can make a new ruling.

                              Webnovel can implement a change that benefit Webnovel, the authors, the translators and the readers.

                              For example, with the new ruling, a chapter is 5000+ words...the translator are allowed to split the chapter into Part A and Part B.

                              If the chapter is 7500+ words, the translator can split the chapter into 3 parts.

                              Tang Jia San Shao (author of Heavenly Jewel Change...Dalu Dalu ...) also write long chapter. Isn't webnovel doing a disservice to itself by banning the split of long words chapter? Potentially depriving the readers of great novels that would otherwise be translated?

                              Most novels will be business as usual since chapters are nowhere near the 5000 words limit. But for a few rare novel where the author sometimes write 5000+ per chapter, let's the translator split it. Win-win for everyone.

                                  I have read it and it's probably one of the top 20 novels ever created on Qidian.

                                  The readers on Qidian obviously agree that it is a great novel judging by how many monthly tickets are rewarded each month and how high it is doing in the Monthly Ticket Ranking, the most important ranking on Qidian. The Monhtly Ticket Ranking importance to Qidian is similar to the importance of the Power Ranking to Webnovel.
