I completely get what you mean. Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that as long as you put sex, system, ultimate, unrivaled, cheat, reincarnation or something else over the top in your novel title, you will be getting views and readers.
These novels often follow the format of like, 500-1000 word chapters and very uninspired writing, yet they still manage to draw in people because of what it's about. In a way it's sad, but hey, it is what it is.
I wouldn't say it's a different era, it's just that this website has a very different reader base than most other sites I can think of. All you can really do is get used to it and ignore it.
