Forgive me for asking this, but I've seen many people posting comment with a simple 'Exp' text and honestly it's annoying. I know they're grinding for experience but doing it with no effort to put even the simplest, chapter-related comment is ridiculous and ruins the comment thread.

To the real question: do these comments considered as acceptable here in Qidian and if they don't, how do we remove them? I tried 'report for abuse' but found no match category under it. And reporting every single comment just feels wrong.

Dont blame the readers, blame the system. It doesnt encourage them to give any work into it. Why work for 1 hour when you can work for half an hour and get paid the same? Im just glad that levels dont offer higher amounts of ss, or else there would be a lot more exp comments.

Dontlookdown well that's exactly why I'm asking how to report them.
So I guess nothing can be done for now?

SnoozySloth I never really thought that much from author perspective, but yeah you might be right there. Still, as a reader, it's annoying to see comments thread full of exp comments, because it's supposed to be a place to read others opinion about the chapter, but then what I saw was a thread full of spam exp comments.

leah I'm used to it. 😅 But sometimes I just read the most liked comments to avoid seeing the 'Exp' comments.

leah actually theres a forum to discuss those related topics like latest discussion chapter and those exp comment can be your gauge how popular the novel is.. specially if theres 200 exp comment there it means the novel is popular and if the comment is only about the discussion then its not popular

asaade Not really. A lot of 'exp' comments could also mean that it's the first novel these people read at the start of their day. :( Most of these people only comment and reply once a day anyway. And with the forum, you had to leave the chapter and go to another link just to talk about the said chapter? Why do that when there's the comment section? :( And actually, comments about the chapter and interaction between the readers was the best indicator that the chapter was great. Just my opinion.

asaade isn't that really bad? I mean the part "if the comment is only about the discussion then its not popular." The comment section is supposed to be, you know, comments.

Latest discussion threads are different because they're not separated per chapter, and there's no direct link from series to the forum which makes it less accessible.

Actually just forget my rant. I looks like most here don't share the same view after all.

I'm a casual member of the Exp sect and here's my POV. Not everyone reads novels right as they're released. Personally, I usually wait till it's completed before I even read it, and I usually read only one novel at a time. That means some of the chapters will be really old and nobody's likely to reply to or even read my comment. So if it wasn't a particularly important chapter, especially if it's several consecutive filler chapters, I find nothing wrong with commenting XP if I have nothing significant to say. Why do it in the first place? I want to get to a higher level so I can get more power stones and energy stones to support the novels I like.

ace_cap actually I don't really mind exp comment in highly popular series, it'll get buried anyway. For averagely ranked series though, exp comment get really noticable because there aren't many comment to begin with. It isn't really hard to use better sounding comment, right? Like the standard 'Thanks for the chapter' or something. At least it looks less spammy.

leah YOU JUST CHALLENGE THE EXP SECT!!!

ALL HAIL EXP SECT!!! THE BIGGEST SECT after the Majority Silent Readers Sect! or the Food Sect! or the Single Sect?

EXP! or e is our fellow daoist greeting. When you see an EXP sect member! You greet with this too. EXP!

PS: As many has mentioned before. That showed a reader was reading a novel to translator or original author. That show the encouragement to continue. There is many words that you can describe the EXP:

                Go Continued Dear Author/Translator!

                Here I am!

                I am reading here!

                Hello, Fellow Daoist!

                I love this!

                and many more...

That many and included in 1 or 3 simple alphabets. E or EXP.

                EXP!

Ohh so that's what it means. I honestly don't know the meaning as one fellow reader greeted my that way. I ignored it as I doesn't understand and my head hurt thinking about the meaning behind it.😂😂 But yeah, it's kinda irritating tho, but I guess it's fine.

BabyTanuki HOLY COW, PHONE! WTF IS THAT?!

I meant to say: I really wish just liking a comment would give you EXP.
