I love most of the novel here and everyday it getting harder for me to read almost any novel with paywall at the back, I don't mind paying for $20-$50 per months a long as I can read novel daily or even if was 1-3 chapter per a week. But it is gone now and most of the novel is forever locked or you pay for it inroder to read.There no more weekly chapter whatsoever. Sorry for my bad English and This is it for me.

BabyTanuki I think they're starting to lock the originals as well, lol. There are at least a couple that are already locked, and at least one of them is the true paywall, not even "watch this ad." So, for now, I won't read it at all. Maybe once the few stories I do read here are finished, I'll look into it again.

It’s stupid that you can’t just pay $20 a month for unlimited access. Instead each book cost $20 per month to keep up. And with the number of chapters involved it will cost hundreds of dollars each to finish. That’s not justifiable.
Also if you compare the actual dollar cost per novel here to the originals in China, it costs CONSIDERABLY more here on webnovel
For the record, back when all of the novels were still giving free chapters I still kept with the latest (stone cost) chapter for more than 20 novels (paying a ridiculous amount of cash). Since the removal of free chapters I’ve dropped all but 3 novels here.
I’m willing to bet more of the payers out there are like me. By making novels premium only they have likely reduced their total intake. (At least I know they aren’t getting my $200+ a month anymore)

I checked it a week ago or so, to see how far along it was, and noticed it was locked.
Of course, I think there are only a few like that for now, but yeah.

so I can binge read them.

Honestly what is up with all of this crap!? No more free unlocked chapters at all? Only one I read for free is Tales of Herding Gods, a great novel btw. I use to read so many books, but i can only read 2 chapters of 1 book only each day now.
well I am migrating to wuxiaworld now because these problems..tbh i like QI apps more because its much more convenient..but then I'm still a student and can't afford to pay real money for the stones..no more ads..it is so heartbreaking for me...I came here once in a while now..just to see if there are new and best novel..hahaha

They already losing readers and huge amount of them everyday. They basically not even getting new readers from novel updates anymore cuase the locked chapters dont show up on there as its against its policy. Its only a matter of time before qidian falls apart
