And reviewing others novels also helps you to know how to improve yourself - as well being a good source for being "inspired" and ahem "borrowing" ideas and characters :laughing:

      Yeah! exposure is important to the author can give better objective authors because they also author such stuff and you get suggestion which can help you improve your work which is immensely helpful for an upcoming author!

                            Adolfo13 That's not how these 8k views work. I assume they count +1 each time somebody views one of the chapters. So, it's at least 8k divided by the number chapters you got. And, if it also counts when somebody views the front page of your novel... really hard to work with these numbers.

                            @HiatusLord As others said, there are many lurking readers who don't leave much comments or reviews. Try asking for reviews in the author notes of every chapter, may spark some activity from your readers.

                              HiatusLord you shouldn't be too bothered about this achievement fellow sufferer. I have clocked over 100k views and have less than five reviews, with no ratings. I can also say while wiping my snot and tears, that the reviewers have also been those who have followed my story on my website, and took the time to express their support.

                                    HiatusLord god you have 6 chapter what review do you want. For me to review novels on novel uptades the novel must have at list 70 chapters(or at list 8h of read time).

                                        someone posted on this forums that you get 1k view the instant you upload your chapters.

                                                    @daoist_om I remember we review swapped 3 weeks ago. But I see you still only have a few chapters. Online readers will not be engaged or interested with an inactive novel without chapters. Each chapter is a conversation with your reader. If you aren't communicating with them, they won't be responding to you.
