I find it funny when authors tell their readers not to read it because they don't like it. Whoever says that I feel like they are some 11 yr old who only wants to hear good comments about themselves. Getting hateful comments and good reviews is a part of writing the novel. If your novel is good, the people with good reviews always overwhelm the bad reviews. When I see author telling people not to read their novel if they don't like it, i feel they want some good reviews like " more more, i love naruto, this novel is great " to boost their own non existent self ego.

There's constructive criticism and just plain hate. Nobody is obliged to sit and take shit from pointless internet trolls for a product from which they make peanuts
I started writing a novel 2-3 days ago. would love for getting any review at all but yea still too early. Imma wait around 20 - 30 chapter before asking people to review
NineLife I want to say I waited till chapter 100? I was still experimenting with writing styles and storytelling before that. My style settled more after my first 70ish chapters.

TheMDmaster11 True, some authors get really defensive, but some readers are not helpful with their critique. It is frustrating when a reader says they just doing like something. As a writer it is usually better to ask them why so you can find your own faults.
BabyTanuki Right.. I've seen some author written about 8 chapters and asked for review. Usually reader won't be able to get 'In' that novel yet at that point to be able to write a detailed review.
