I monitor my ranking in the competition - here's the stats yesterday.
#1 Desolate Mage (mine) ~250 stones slowly increasing through the day
#2 Death Incarnate (TheOldFogey) - 149 stones until suddenly in 30 minutes it jumps to 233 stones instantly with 37 users voting all in the same window of time
36 accounts created around the same months, with their past 5-6 months only activity ever being on TheOldFogey's 2 novels for the past 6 months!

                  Nothing I can do about that. I'm just an author. It'd be up to Webnovel to determine if it's legit or not. I've heard that they've disqualified cheaters in the past, so if he really is cheating then I'd assume they'd do the same now. That's not up to me to decide nor determine though.

                            That's the way it works. Contests last one week. Most authors continue writing their stories even if they lose though. If it's updated daily then you'll likely appear in the daily updates section and get a following. Maybe the trending originals section eventually as well.
