  • Is there a way to only rate translator and/or translation groups? should be

i can't count how many times i see a novel go on a sudden hiatus without a word, the majority of translators and even original novel artists seem to use a small section at the bottom to give the readers updates, but then you have groups like sparrow translations and radiant translations, who can't be bothered to leave the simplest note when there's going to be a delay or GOD FORBID that they leave a note after a sudden absence to apologize, the worst part of it is, the same groups will still be actively releasing other chapters of other novels.

SO in-conclusion; is there a way to specifically rate translator's and or request for them to be replaced with competent ones?

Webnovel is looking into replacing them..but it will take time...Very few translators will be willing to pick up another person's work.

    I would also suggest a better screening process before picking up new translators. Most of the ones who do this were doing it before coming over to WN and a in depth look into a translators history before contracting them would reveal this. While it may not seem fair to the translators if the novel they are translating has its copyright owned by Qidian and they can not be reliable hit them with a DMCA and find someone reliable to restart the translation at chapter 1. While I am sure you will catch flack from the fans for this that is nothing new. No matter what you do someone is going to complain, at least this way you don't have the issue of finding a translator to pick up someone elses work they would be completely restarting the translation of a book who's translation was never finished.

    ^ completely agree, radiant is a great example of that. they had sporadic releases of battle frenzy for the past year but qidian still let them sign on to keep translating, and if you go to their website, theyre still consistently updating other novels all the while not giving a word to the battle frenzy readers left in the dark.

      CKtalon i hope so because it's honestly ridiculous, i think everyone can understand that things come up in life and that can't be helped, but when you just leave people in the dark it just damages all sides involved

        I just started reading swallowed stars some time ago and the translation for the first few chapters was absolutely awful. I only managed to push through because it was an iet novel. I had to rewrite so many sentences in my mind to process what was happening at times!
        I know another group has taken over from a much later chapter. Is there any chance the first half will get redone at any point?

        For all that is good and holy, can someone please get the translator/ qidian to fix Battle Frenzy’s repeat/ missing chapter problem?

        It’s gotten to the point that I’m giving up on the story because I can’t even understand what’s going on anymore...

        Not to mention all the SS that people have been scammed of... there have been complaints non- stop using various channels (comments, reviews, rating the novel, reporting an issue for the specific chapters, as well as sending emails to qidian’ customer support) with no response whatsoever!

        Can someone please tell me what we need to do to get the attention of the translator/ qidian?!?!!!!!!
