I do not know if there already exists a area for this type of forum but i wish to share my requests for novels and discuss this with others and i am hoping for more appreciation for the more neglected examples of Novels with buddhist protagonists or a mix of European&Eastern novels i feel like there should be more creative solutions like using rarer genres of mysticism and magic or sorcery taking a look at druidism and shamanism even merging eastern cultivation of either Buddhist & Daoist in addition to Shinto and Ancestor worship and maybe even rarer types or subgroups with the more western themes of different Knights and Paladins Cleric/Priests and cultists or mystics even the older Germanic or Norse and Celtic Pantheons not to forget the more popular types like Apocalypse or Virtual Reality and Reincarnation i myself lack any kind of writing skill whatsoever when it comes to putting my ideas down in written form but i believe that i will eventually find some soul mates who feel the same way i do and i hope that there might be someone with better writing skills and more time and energy among the bright minds reading this ending up with the creation of several to countless masterpieces making this worth it.....

My current story is pretty unlike almost anything else on here. It has a non-human hero, and takes place in a world where World War 1 technology and western high fantasy magic and races coexist.
If you're interested in something unique, perhaps you will like "Clockwork Revenant". A new chapter comes out tonight!
GreatSage_Arcadia
There is a lot of interesting works on Amazon unlimited, they have lit-rpgs for example, and more American style novels.
I am reading a book, called the land for example, which I would never would have read. If I had to pay the $5 price tag, but I would give it a 7/8 out of 10. Not a work of art, but worth reading.
Nice! this is a good start i thank you

GreatSage_Arcadia My story has ties to MANY religions, including Norse, Greek, Egyptian, and others. I also have other unique features too.
It will also have a light hearted theme too.

Both eastern and western fantasy are tied into my book as well.
Chronicles of Primordial Wars
Love this! i really like Survival World RPG but i think that the author dropped it... wish someone would make a similar work i also liked Fantasy Fall great potential but most authors just dont stick to it for various reasons sad really...
GreatSage_Arcadia the novel I write titled "I Hate Systems" is pretty much unlike what you seek ( shameless advertising) . But you can try to read the novel "pursuing immortality". It's a wonderful novel featuring history, Buddhism and taoism ( other Western magic, alchemy are also slowly being introduced) in a cultivation style in our current Earth and time period.
GreatSage_Arcadia it seems plausible, but it will be difficult. Also we don't know if there will be a public outcry like "my religion is not your blah blah blah..." if we use those suddenly. I know everyone seems okay right now, but we'll never know what could trigger those group of snowflakes.
GreatSage_Arcadia it would be nice but too complicated
Eliza_Thornberry what snowflakes??? It would be a freaking avalanche!!!
GreatSage_Arcadia I do exactly what you asked for in mine. I don't decern between people of different races either and borrow cultures, gods, and mythological beings from around the world.
I never say if someone is straight up African, European, or Asian looking. Instead, I say they are tan, but let the reader decide what sort of tan I am referring to. My world is a colorblind world but has racism in the form of other races.
As you can see, even my MC is named after an Irish goddess.

I publish 1 chapter a day (Never missed a day since March). I have moved because of pirating issues to Patreon but still publish the daily free chapters there.
Please check this out if you have time.

Interesting... definitely worth a closer look...
I am reading Priestess of The Land, it's a fantasy novel with transmigrated MC. But unlike most, the novel is set in a somewhat egyptian world (i suck at explaining things, forgive me). The author is Jessie. You should check it out if you want to have a break of chinese-oriented transmigration novels.
Chronicles of Primordial Wars
Pivot of The Sky
as a theme how about a reverse teleportation/Transmigration/Summoning? like from a medieval world or fantasy world to a Modern/Science fiction world?
did my thread die already? if not i would like to hear peoples opinion on shape shifting and druids i watched LOTR about BEORN recently and found the idea kind of cool any thoughts about this?...
*Clears throat
OH BOY!
I was always planning on how to add a celtic, norse and Germanic types of phrases, and fighting styles into my story. But haven't gotten that far yet ;( hoped to integrate it with a 'western' witchcraft and magic theme, while also having a dash of cultivation in there.
Man, I am but one single author who has just started writing my first novel not too long ago, and have already planned a great deal out.
But as I solely wish to improve my story. Two heads are better than one, and I wish to ask what kind of take/combo YOU would find the most attractive.
Hope to hear back!
