Since it remains on this site, mind as well keep track of its meanderings.
Zaldizko {BL} Ratio 377:1↓39 from last post.
I'm surprised the drop isn't so harsh. I was expecting the worst for this book.

Queen of Performing Arts
7762:74 or 105:1
Yesterday was my first month so I can understand why the ratio is somehow positive. I also only have eight chapters. Soon, I'm quite sure it'll be way way worse...
265:1 bad and bad >3<=\
I have a ratio of 23.3k views/ 177collections.
Is it a good ratio????
One question, does anyone of you also suffer from people leaving from the collection? Let's say it was X today and tomorrow it's like X-20 or something like that.
Does it drop because people aren't interested in my work anymore and removing the book from the library? It is so so hurtful :( :(
niharikabhol If your fiction is added to any of the major lists (trending, daily, etc) people usualy see the cover then add it to their collection without reading any chapters. Then, when they do have the time to read, they find that the story isn’t for them. So most likely it doesn’t have anything to do with whether they stopped liking your story (unless your latest chapter contains something controversial, i imagine). Another thing that might do it is if you haven’t posted anything for a long while and they think you went on hiatus. It’s normal to lose one person or so, but losing a lot of people at once is probably from one of the above reasons.
Oh yeah, you have definitely been in one of the lists. I can tell because your story is in my library but I have yet to read it or find out if it would be my cup of tea (yes, i am guilty if adding things to my library without reading the first chapter)
niharikabhol yep. I bleed collections everyday. Try not to let it get you down, since any number of reasons could lead to a drop, technical included.
niharikabhol yeahh.. my story is up and down too, but I just think positively... that my story isn't their cup of tea
Veronica8 true there are too many reasons for collection drop. Sometimes I also added first before reading. If it's not my cup of tea, I will remove it from my library. I reckon other people would also be like that.
Reckeva thanks for throwing light on the issue. Now I get it.
Superlike your answer
missoline87 that's a really positive way to look at it. Will definitely try.
Cheers
missoline87 Me too. Everyone has their own preferences. It's all good. I'm also thrilled that my outer package (cover + blurb) was enough to entice interest. That's a big win for me too
Does anyone here have idea how the novels get featured? I am writing regularly. My word count is also > 1k per chapter. Do they randomly select people or how? I see many novels with hardly 5-10 chapters, no cover, no rating also getting featured. My ratings are also ok, thanks to the support of many of you. Why can't my novel be featured?
P.S. Mine was featured just once and never after that ....
niharikabhol Many a time people just add it to their library and keep it there to read it in future. They forget about it and all of a sudden pick it up one day and binge read it:) So don't worry that might also happen.
Sometimes people drop it after reading a few chapters. It's a phase every author faces.
niharikabhol ye, but i don't blame though. i also do that, but not because i'm not interested-- it's because i'm not in the mood to read this genre or whatnot.
MishaK Yeah I get that now. Actually I have just recently started with my novel. And I don't have much idea how webnovel works. So when I was worried I thought I could ask you guys. Thanks for helping me out.
