I've been wanting to write something for a while and I've been thinking of something sci-fi/cyberpunk, but I don't see many sci-fi novels that are popular. Are there not many fans of sci-fi on webnovel? Would fantasy be a better choice? Although I'd love to write cyberpunk, I'd prefer that my work to be read by more people.

Siterus I’m personally not the biggest fan of sci-fi novels but there are definitely some that I’ve come to enjoy reading. Even though sci-fi novels don’t have the largest group of readers I don’t think you should write a fantasy just cause you want more readers. If anything, if you write a good story it’d probably get more readers than your basic run of the mill fantasy. Either way I believe that there will be readers that see your work so just follow your heart.
