There are quite a few people on Webnovel's tech team, floating about the forums. What I want to know is who they are and what they do, so we can @ the appropriate person when reporting bugs. It'd be appreciated if you could tell me what sort of problems they fix.

Thanks!

This is an interesting topic xD I'm curious too!

Would be great to have more sections. Like suggestions broken down into design suggestions vs novel suggestions etc. Would be great to have if they had a contact us page or something to contact about specific issues I think that would be more productive than random mentions on the forum.

I feel like even if you @ someone does not mean they will actually check, or see it. Long story short I think they need a better system in general even if we mention certain people who can help doesn't mean they will actually show. Unless there is something written somewhere that makes it so that it is their official job to get to every one of them I don't believe they will. Especially since I am the type of person who always says "that's not in my job description" when people ask me to do something that I do not want to do, and have no reason to. I do not believe everyone will be nice and do something they don't feel like when they do not have to.

Call it my bad faith in people or just my skepticism about the current forum design but mentioning people just doesn't seem like a solid thing. For one, generally if you get mentioned a lot or someone likes your posts or replies to them and you have many already there in notifications you will miss half of them, and these people might not even care enough to check.

I'm not sure if tech staff get a different notification system or maybe they look in the backlogs or something. Judging from the database time fiasco of the trip to china competition I have very little faith in them actually accurately checking the backlogs for mentions of them, to solve problems.

Lastly considering that there is a report translation mistakes tag and no one is even checking it(as far as I can tell) to send a reply as to whether it will get fixed or not, I doubt people come to forums as if it's a ticket system, though it could just be translators and editors don't. I think they probably just come when someone else(a senior or manager) brings it to their attention. Half the bug reports I see don't even get answered by officials but instead the community of random readers.

I'm just a pessimist who likes things to be more orderly though so its probably only me who thinks like this, if we gonna fix something, fix it properly and thoroughly.
