Rianolinon Just want to make things clear. Im talking about the orignal stories here in webnovel.

Is there any other specific reason you hate them, apart from them being dropped?

The originals section should definitely be cleaned up of dropped or 1-3 chaptered "hiatus"/essentially dropped stories, but for stories with many more chapters dropped, I'm guessing it happens because authors aren't paid and have lives too. I've seen enough authors commenting on how little viewership or support that they get, but they continue writing still. Eventually, I suppose, enough is enough, and they stop and move on.

If it's of any help though, I've been building up a collection of original authors' stories on Virtual Bookshelf, so maybe you can find something to read there.

Well, plenty of translated stories get dropped as well. Usually the less popular ones. Most stories that are both popular and translated won't be dropped though, and they're often finished before translation begins. It's a bit of an unfair comparison since I'm sure just as many Chinese novels are dropped as well, thus never getting popular and/or translated.

That being said, that's why I'm generally a fan of contracted original authors. Granted, I'm biased as someone that has been contracted. Regardless, the nice thing about contracted originals is that there are contractual obligations in place, so the author is far less likely to drop the story. At the very least, most contracted originals would write the minimum agreed upon word count and wrap the story up in a hurry. The more popular ones would likely continue until a satisfying finish.

Anyways, that's just my two cents on the topic =p

Y would you hate original stories not all of it

Some writer just write for fun

Others have a life to live and some are not even being paid meaning there's not much fulfillmebt of writing an original

It makes it worse when there's barely any motivation for writing something when you look at low views or collections
