Are you on Webnovel mainly for the translated works?
Pretty much. For Originals, I often go to Royalroadl, because Originals on Webnovel can't keep my interest. I don't care if a novel has the most cliché setting, as long as it keeps me wanting more, I'm fine reading/paying. I've peeked at the top ten Originals and I can only say this: 'Wow, that's a lot of people with views that differ from mine.'
When you vote, are you more likely to vote for original works or translated works?
Translated. I don't want to sludge my way through the mud to find that single $5. Basically, I'm just too lazy to vote, so I vote the first novel I click.
How often are you looking for new novels?
Everyday.
What motivates you to comment, rate, review, vote, etc.?
If I really like a novel, and the author needs support. Remember, authors, if you ever feel sad about viewership and decide to quit, you're basically telling anyone who decided to keep on reading to f*ck off.
Do readers like it when authors try to engage (e.g. Discord)?
Everyone likes a responsive Author. However, my advice on this is that, authors should not reply on every single comment. Answer what you want to answer, and it'll give the authors comments, far more value due to its rarity.
