Since I just finished posting the ending of Book 1 and I haven't received much of a response, I might as well market it here a bit to get some feedback.
Title: Enlightened Empire
Synopsis: A prince sent into exile, without the means to fight back.
A young man trapped in an unfair world, without the status to bring about change.
Combined, they will have both means and status.
Armed with advanced knowledge from a strange world, will Prince Corco be able to cut through the injustice, regain his birthright and bring enlightenment to the country of his ancestors to create a paradise of true peace, equality and prosperity?
“Okay, first step: Let’s make some Brandy.”
…that’s a maybe then.
It's a political kingdom building novel, though I tried to avoid the usual trapfalls of the genre. There is a strong focus on characters and world building rather than just paraphrasing wikipedia articles (though of course the MC's tech advantage still plays a big role in the story). If that sounds appealing to you, feel heavily encouraged to check it out.
