I have a few questions to ask, if you have the time to answer it.
If we write something in another language than English, can we receive a sanction ?
Is yes, what do you think about the french ? I'm asking that because it's my native language but the problem it's very hard for me to translate a writing of my own to the english without it look like a crude traduction coming from a tool on Internet. (Because the french is very complex about the verbs and other grammatical things like figure of speech etc.)

Thanks you in advance !

Phylonemios What do you mean by a sanction?

You actually can write in other languages besides English, but it’s only the ones listed when creating a novel, so not many. Also English is definitely more popular. Even if other languages were allowed, I think the audience would be very limited.

Don’t worry about poor translation though. Plenty of stories with mediocre English on here have done well. And from your post above, you’re English is just fine/understandable. The onlt remaining issue would be the things that aren’t well translated from French to English because of cultural knowledge like sayings. But looking at the translated Chinese novels, you can also just have a note attached at the end to explain what the sayings mean.

Chryiss By a sanction, I mean something like an warning or being suspended.
I'm very grateful for the answer ! Thanks you !

Phylonemios Ah I see. I haven’t seen any stories taken down because they were written in anoter language, but I’m not 100%. I’m pretty sure the Webnovel staff don’t have time to scour all the books for that.
