So idk why but when I write my chapters I put paragraph spaces so it isn’t all jumbled up for my readers however after I publish the chapter everything is really close together for some reason can anyone help
Novel editing
XEternalphoenix The formatting only separates for one paragraph space/enter. So if you try putting in more, it automatically squishes everything back to one. How I tried circumventing this annoyance is by putting a period or dash, or just some kind of character(s) as a "single paragraph" as a means of creating longer breaks.
Ex:
Paragraph content here.
.
.
.
Next paragraph here.

Chryiss thx I kinda feel like it would be strange to have random dots tho

You could always use
three stars like above or
#
a hash.
Oh, the three stars turns into a separating line in this forum (probably because three stars is indeed a standard for hard paragraph breaks).
XEternalphoenix I felt that way too, but maybe use other characters like dashes or hashtags? Try experimenting; at least, I haven’t found an inventive and suitable way to organize than this in the novels I’ve read yet.
