Hi all, I’ve been reading on here on and off for ages now.
I stopped when the cost of reading the novels were too much in SS compared to just buying books from bookstores (Amazon..)
As soon as I noticed a subscription service I paid, it was worth it compared to buying physical books. Seriously £20-30 a month means I can read both the good and the trash and enjoy it without thinking about how much it costs in SS and should I really pay for the next chapter.
I had just started swallowed star when it ended prematurely. I don’t think I can justify £120 for the book to catch up . I mean the entire Raymond E Fiest riftwar sage which is a world leader in epic fantasy at 20 odd books doesn’t cost much more printed.... Peter F Hamilton has epic Si-Fi’s sat on my shelf for less than £14 per 1000 page tomb
What’s everyone else opinion, I have stopped reading most premium books outside of the subscription period, because they just often aren't good enough (either through translation, or the original writing) to compare with other books I can pay for from a local shop . Is this similar to anyone else or am I just stubborn?
And news on a new subscription, does anyone else want it back like I do?
Cheers
R
