Chryiss 3 Jobs?! Wow, that's amazing. I complain working 10hrs for one. I was in a job for so long, it's kind of hard to get into another. Well, in all fairness not really looking too hard since I'm trying to get better.
So, taking advantage by trying squeeze out some more chapters.
Edit: This post is nearing 700 chapters. XD Such a popular rest stop.
I don't really want to make a new post for this so let me just complain here.
So this original novel that I've been following for a long time now suddenly had an influx of new readers (it's the 'from top 120 to top 40' kind of influx). The author already said that 5chaps a week is her limit right now but the new readers kept on pressing for the author to update more. Some were even asking for a mass release. Man, if only they knew how lucky they were right now. Before when the author didn't have fixed update, it would probably take 2months for her just to release 10chaps. Now she was able to do that after 2weeks. But they still wanted more. I kind of feel sorry for the author. Coz I could see that she's really trying her best. I'm starting to wonder if the attention she's getting right now was even good. I just hope she won't be pressured into releasing more chaps to the point that the quality of her chaps would go down.
There, I finally managed to vent. Just ignore me. Lol.
Sighgray I agree, writing is hard mental work and when you have to juggle it with real life it can make schedules erratic.
The fact they're being demanded upon for story updates is also a compliment to their skills. This is what a lot of great authors face from their readers. Neil Gaiman mentioned on this in his tweet some time back. Unfortunately, they'll need to find a balance.
It's nice that you're understanding of their situation. Sweet of you actually.
Have a good weekend guys! I'll read when i get to my destination. Eye is still a bit sore but better. Im more incenced about the lego my son put on my seat before i sat lol. Off to netherlands. Will be off for a while as i get car sick. gross bisous

well 2nd day in a row, i dont usually post anything..... even in any other site, but, since the wifi next door has no password and i get free internet for now which is great, cause data charges are killer in my country.
well nothing really special happened, just daily routine of a normal person, work, eat, play and all that.
so im just gonna post what i learned today.
sooo i learned that, the nutrients and minerals in vegetables and fruits are decreasing, some studies made that compared to plants 100years ago there was a decrease from maybe about 20-38% not sure the exact no. but a study done in korea and japan says that its because of the higher CO2 content in the air which is plant food, cause plants use that CO2 to grow faster rather than the minerals in the soil....
but no worries still cause its still low enough that it doesnt really affect how humans get nutrients from them, but just a slight increase in amount eaten to get more full.... soo maybe after a hundred years or so youll like need to eat a lot more, some study says its also the reason of the higher obesity rate going on right now...

ugh never mind, browsed the reviews again... and honestly seeing what i saw made me think that this site is full of 9 year olds... cause honestly seeing a crappy novel with obvious plotholes, bad grammar and cringy conversations having mostly hundreds of 5 star reviews and finding no negative comment made me understand a few things.
i can understand bad grammar, but theres something to say about a novel where even turning off your brain while reading it still triggers you....... i honestly have no more words to add.
or is it just that as someone who chose to ignore most of this stuff for years and now finding a tonne of it gives such a big impact.
I have a novel idea but i am not writer so just i write it. So let imagine a little country in europe which developed a gate. This gate lead a parallel world which follow the same history line, but the time difference is 1000 years. So you can send teachers, engineers, doctors etc to this world and material equipment. But not too much maybe 1000 person and 1000 ton equipment. Yea it look like too much but if you think about a car more than 1 ton and this is a totally underdeveloped world. How can build a state and preserve the technological gap and keep the distance from the other states. And what will happen the important historical momments. Let not count the butterfly effect. It does not play. So there is a technologically developed state which follow the keep your hand out principle. How can respond the envy jeaulosly kings reaction. (Like you have gun i want it because if i have i can be the ruler of the world) etc. Maybe somebody will write this story.
symonp05 seems great, but it sounds like the government is the main protagonist... it should have the same premise as GATE and have a soldier be the main protag.....
FujiCigarette it is similar but this not in the fantasy world. And reflect the history of the real world. For example they know every famous event. For example What will they do when start the ww 2. They have 1000 year technological advantage. They can use the 1000 year or just lose it? The base that they do not share the knowledge with another parts of the world. Just their country. So we have a full developed country and the other parts of world. What will it happen? But i am not a writer so i can not create novel.
FujiCigarette And not just soldiers but the teachers, scientists or engineers. Little like release that witch without supernatural elements.(like demons etc). It is a alternative world story.
It is a little mix of stargate(science), gate and release the witch(kingdom building) and i have a mansion.
symonp05 well.... heres hoping its not japan then... cause before WW2, japan was swallowing up countries left and right.
or modern china cause todays china seems to keep ignoring UN laws.
or north korea or iraq or countries run by dictators......
....
...
....
thinking bout it, its a bad idea for a government to have that sort of power, i cant imagine going well.
...
still if a country is gonna have the ability to conquer the world, id choose south korea for the food or japan because of the otaku culture, i choose those 2 countries cause the image they project today are good... or im just not seeing the bad side.
certainly not my country for sure, bunch of useless corrupt politician will ruin the world if they had that power
FujiCigarette That's true about nutrients decreasing in food, especially now with all these preservatives and such adding on to the environmental problem. Although humans won't be dying off anytime soon, we can still see the effects in people and the world today. But it's due to poor distribution of resources and wealth that have so much poverty. I forget how long ago it was, but I read some article about how we literally can end world hunger today given we employed the right methods alongside the will to actually do so.

symonp05 Here’s a tip: write that story yourself. Honestly, the reason I started writing was because I wanted to read a story (eg like the story I wrote) but couldn’t find it anywhere. It’s quite satisfying, since you can ‘see’ everything unfold before you. It’s okay to take it slow, do your research, plan it out. A lot of authors take years to plan their stories before actually writing them; it’s part of the process. In the end it’s you who wanted to read that story so you just have to write it yourself and bear with it. It’s like watching a series but they only release a small part of it once every blue moon, so you have to create your own headcannon.
Also, a ‘writer’ is just a title people put on ‘someone who writes’, so just because you’re not a writer now doesn’t mean you can’t be one in the future. :) Who knows, you might find a hidden talent or something. Also, if you do end up writing it yourself, please mind your grammar ;)
ihateyounot symonp05 for anyone wanting to be inspired to write.... id recommend them to read "The Great Story Teller", cause i started to resume the stories wrote years ago and left with only 2 or 3 chapters.....
still not posting them though...
Chryiss too many laws restricting global unification IMO, but thats just me thinking that, i wouldnt really know what the laws are, and im not sure if its true but a stand up comic once joked about how australians get their tizzy when illegal fruit comes in their country
FujiCigarette Yeah!!! I read The Great Storyteller a while back and I just started having this intense desire to write anything. It’s a good story, especially if you want to motivate yourself.
