Can i get a bit better set of definitions? For instance the majority of xianxuan novels mc by chapter 220. Have already raped, pillage, and murdered there way to power. Even the most moral story Child of Light has come to this point in some fashion. I personally dont like reading stories about heartless assholes beating down on the normal citizens. Caring only about rising themselves up above the masses. Like there a mini god that deserves worship.
Was this rule made? To protect the rankings? If you cant say this story has a lot of rape or massives genocidal urges or the mc is an evil dictator. This mc behavior is digusting or shameful?
I will use an example of an extremely well written story. Tales of a reincarnated lord. Translated on liberal sparks. This was an extremly engaging story. It was very difficult to let go. However our mc here pillaged his way across several cities. Wantonly murdered whole families raped young girls, killed women for being ugly, gave an excution order to a whole race. Because they bothered him. In this instance im talking about whales. Ah there was also the fact that any good looking women were pretty much gifted to his men to rape at there pleasure.
I do not enjoy reading stories about assholes getting unlimited power and pushing everyone else down. I rather enjoy reading about paladins who struggle to succeed. And then do acomplish this. Then dont turn around immediately and push everyone down as fast as they can. But help others also rise up in power.
Which has never happened in any xianxue story that i have read. currently translated. Even path way of the librarian is incredible selfish. It is always about the mc holding back and taking the best for themselves. Even when they get a wife. She always gets second best. Or what he does not want. Never does a xianxuan story have an mc help others become more powerful than they themselves. Which would make all mcs arragant. I can not recall any humble or nice mcs. Maybe child of light been awhile since i read that. Something made me lose interest in that story.
They are always selfish first and formost.
By definitions this is a derogatory to the story. These complaints i have. I have never read a korean or Japanese Xianxuan. Im sure there out there. I just can not recall ever reading one.
