Fatty_Cream I didn't get any notification, but I noticed that one review of mine was removed recently after some person liked a comment on that same story. The review was basically an elaboration on the comment. It didn't happen directly after Webnovel implemented the delete button for authors, and I generally forget where I reviewed anyway. XD But after receiving the like on the comment, I curiously realized I hadn't seen any likes on the review recently. When I go check, poof, it's gone. Lol, and it was one of the top reviews for that story too. (Oddly enough, my most liked review with around 10 or so people iirc?)
I found a glaring flaw in the novel (in my opinion anyway but it was shared by others too who commented they agreed), but I try to be courteous while being completely honest (which may come across as blunt honesty). But in the end, I guess not everyone can handle constructive criticism (I also said compliments too though and rated it 3/4). I actually thought it might get deleted because I detailed the flaw with bullets of various instances in the novel in which it occurred. However, for those who don't care about this "flaw" (some people might like this), then my review isn't a turn off. It served more as a warning for those who dislike seeing these types of novels.
In short, I agree with Sigheti. For those who appreciate honest feedback, don't be hindered by that delete button. Just the other day someone random gave out trash one star reviews on my story plus some other authors' stories just because it was a k-pop fanfic (literally made it only for the BTS contest otherwise I wouldn't ever write one). Even then I didn't delete the troll review (because it made me laugh at the immaturity of it).
I know a lot of writers appreciate and ask for that feedback. It's what helps us grow in writing and become more aware of our audience. So keep at it with the reviews~
