The 'privilege' system is actually the good old paetreon trap some translators use. You pay into it and you get access to early chapters before non-paying readers.

The 'trap' part of it is you the become a normal reader with the same release schedule as everyone else unless you stop paying. So you essentially have to keep paying or get left in a dry spell where you see no 'new' chapters till the 10-50 you paid extra to read early are released and you get back to unreleased content.

uckayla if the novel has the option it will be blatantly obvious how to buy in. If it does not, then it is not an option.

I won't say NOT to pay the extra because some of it will go to the author/translators I'm assuming. However, it has a very steep value curve that drops off immediately after the purchase and then dips into loss until you burn through your 'early' chapters.

That's why I call it a trap and not a scam. You do get some benefit, but it's up to you if it's worth it or not.

Note, being privileged just allows you to buy chapters early so you pay for the ability to pay again.

I bought the 15 chapter privilege on a novel. Was disappointed by the author but I don't think of the privilege system as a trap. My only disappointment is that some of the novels have reduced daily releases since release of the privilege system which I can only assume is for building up privilege chapters. Also from the way the explanation reads you should only buy privilege on the 1st of a month. At least that's how it reads, for instance if you buy it on the 30th then by the way it was explained the privilege will end the next day or day after depending on the month, so if you buy the 50 chapters privilege and don't finish them by the end of the month then you wasted your privilege...
