with the new system in place how exactly can we expect (free) updates? Will the two chapters a day stay, but only one chapter will be in the pff daily?

      Silberkinn That's correct. Premium chapters will pile up with time. For example;

      Release That Witch
      17 ch/week release rate

      Free chapters
      1 ch/day

      So free chapters = 7/week
      Total chapters = 17/week

      10 premium chapters added into the premium pool every week. Next week you will be 20 chapters behind if you don't unlock premium chapters.

          N0xiety The real unfortunate part of this is that if you "buy" (with SS) a premium chapter (such as what I did with RtW yesterday since it left off at a cliff and I apparently have no self restraint) then you're buying a temporary lead in that pool, since 1 free ch/week doesn't mean +1 free ahead of what you've already purchased, but rather we're unlocking ch 695 today for everyone for free, even if you've already had it unlocked.

Logically, it would be alot more profitable for you to wait for the novel to finish and then unlock the leftover chapters in one go without waiting for 1ch/day free release rate to catch up to the end. That would be the best way to read and you would literally have no difference than all the folk buying premium chapters as they come out, but pay way less then them for the same content. Ofc this would require quite alot of patience from your end haha! It will probably take a year for the book to finish...

                4U6U57 You can just wait for the free chapters if you really can't afford it. That's how it is for patreon anyway, I pay say 20 a month and all I get is a 7 month lead on a specific story. Same thing basically. Right now is say your a free user, but for paid users like me who already use patreon for early access this system is actually quite nice.

                      The problem with that is that quidan will most likely finish translating an entire series and then give out 3/4 or less of the entire series chapters for free and then make you pay to read the last 1/4 of the series chapters like what is done with Lezhin comics. And that would be depressing.

Well, lets give Qi some slack, because as far as I know it, this change will most likely stay, and we don't want to give them ideas from our speculations do we ? I hope Qi knows what they're doing, because international readers are different from chinese readers, and while chinese readers are OK with some kind of business model, doesn't mean International readers are fine with said business model.
