Don't know if anyone else has this problem but ever since I have downloaded the latest update to the app it feels like the user interface has become slower (android app). It's like in the past it used a cache to improve speed and now the cache is no longer used making some screens especially slow to load. Especially loading the subscriptions screen has become slower, but the screen on which it has become most noticeable is the filter screen that is accessible through the subscriptions screen.
And while I'm at it I would like to request for an option where I can switch between the previous version of the subscription screen and the new version. The new version has a lot more information a d for some that is fine but I find the information about how many unread chapters there are a lot more useful than having to read about how many chapters of the total published chapters are read. And it feels as if the design rule of not having a lot of information on a screen is forgotten. I understand it is done to support the writers who have published their story here and have part of their chapters hidden from normal users as privileged chapters but I think there is a better way to differentiate between translated novels and newly written novels without having to pollute the user interface with too much information. For instance you can add an icon indicating it is a translated novel or the other way around indicating it is a newly written novel.
Another thing that has become worse since the update is how easy it is to see replies to comments. It used to be very easy to see and navigate to the notifications screen but now I have to navigate through too many screens to get to the notifications screen. For someone who regularly engages in conversations in the comments section this new interface is not an improvement. Maybe it is a good idea to split event notifications from the reply notifications because they appear less often and therefore add an for the majority of times someone goes to the notification screen an unnecessary action before getting to the comment notification screen.
There are many possibilities for improvements but keep in mind that too much information makes it difficult to appreciate the app and use it intuitively. And having to click through too many screens to get to a screen is the same as hiding that screen, only the die hard users will find that screen (a bit like how the link to this forum is hidden in this app and unless you explicitly go to the settings screen has a user the chance to find the forum)
