I recently started writing on a web novel. And I tried to participate in one of the contest.
But I didn't know how to. I filled all the details about my novel and entered the synopsis, but it created another novel for me. I mean do we need to create another novel for contest? Can't we just enter with the novel that we're writing. I am so confused about contest. If someone can explain, it would be helpful.

    Kamlyn Yes, you have to created a new novel in order to enter a contest. the novel that has already been published even with only a single chapter could not enter the contest

            Where can I find the novels enrolled for the contest. And a new contest just started. If I want to join, does it mean I have to finish the story in a span of 2 weeks or it can still go on after it?

                ThatAmazingGirl It can still go on. It's meant to give exposure to authors. The novels enrolled for the contest can be seen inside the event page which can be found on the main page (the current 'season' isn't up yet).

                      It has to be created from scratch. As another stated if you have a book started even with but a single chapter, it is in eligible for the contest.

                      Now that being said there's nothing stopping you from creating the same book again and copy pasting over the chapters... depending on how thick your skin is.

                      But in short, to join a contest like the WPC its an option that has to be toggled when you are first setting up the book.

                        To win you need at minimum 15000 words. Using webnovel contract stipulations that's about 10 average sized chapters.

                        Keeping in mind that more is better and word count/chapter count are some of the lower spectrum mandates for winning, there's a bunch of others on top of them.

                            Hello everyone 😊 I'm not sure if this is possible but I wanted to sign up my book for the female lead contest and so far I've written 25 chapters. Is it still valid for me sign it up. P.s I don't know how to enter the contest but I've sent the name of my book in the comments section 😔
