A friend jokingly used my email to make another account because they wanted to see what I love reading so much. Now they don't use it anymore and I want to use my email for this account but can't. So how can I delete that account?

    Retribution Well you could just change the email for the other account then add the email to the account you want...

    There is also an option that if you used Google+ to make the account you can just disallow webnovel in you google and that should remove the association. Webnovel does not even get the email for you Google+ anyways unless your friend put it in for them and confirmed it too, which would be bizzare cause who actually shares an email and password with a friend....no matter how close.

    Those are some options maybe to think about instead of deleting the account flat out, I have never seen such options on profile menu. Don't think webnovel really expects us to delete accounts.

        I've tried changing the email on that account already. It doesn't let me, tried both on mobile app, mobile safari, and laptop chrome.
        This account was used with Google's sign in button. The other account was made with an email from a referral from me. Not google sign in.
        And no, they do not have my password thank you very much for worrying, I accepted it on my email when they created the account. They had forgotten their email then (don't use it often) so I offered to let them use mine for the time being, both thinking that we could just change it whenever they remembered/found there's, or that you could delete the account. Which seems to not be the case, hence why I asked.

        The disallowing thing wouldn't do anything, as this account is with Google sign in using my personal email, and that other account is using the same email just not google sign in. On the contrary, it would kick me (this account) out, I'd loose everything on here which is not what I want. They no longer use that account and have told me "just do whatever with it".

            Try to approach a tech team cause there's someone with the same problem as you and a tech team said that you can't delete a account on your own without their help.....

              Retribution Nah it wouldn't do that. Like I said when you use Google+ to sign in it does not use your email. It was very dumb of you to confirm the email for an account that was not yours especially since Webnovel does not require you to confirm the email, its just a quest but they still allow you to use the account without it being confirmed.

              Also did you look in the settings on your Google + account? Because like I said when I checked on my settings while logging in with Google+ webnovel did not even save my email, I had to put it in and confirm it. If you are sayign that the same email is confirmed on both accounts then obviously it will be fine. Since if the email was that serious they wouldn't have allowed you to use the same email twice, and confirm it, TWICE. So nothing to worry about then.

                  KoraL I don't know if they allow it, I'm saying that if he is saying...he has one email confirmed on 2 different accounts then it's obvious they do not care. He has yet to tell us the actual state of emails on the two accounts. He says the email on the account his friend made is confirmed. He has not stated if there is an email on the google+ linked account, it seems to me that he is assuming that the email is automatically attached??
                  When the truth is it may not be attached at all, so he wants to delete his friends account to add the email to his own google+ but I don't see why that matters tbh the email doesn't do anything.

                      As I've said, my email on that account was confirmed. This one is not, I just click the google sign in, and I get logged into here. I do not know is Qidian has my email on here as well, all I know is that it's an account linked to my email, but doesn't have my email in its profile page. Meaning it either is only using google as a means of logging in and saving info, or is linked to my email and actually has recorded my email. I did not get a confirmation mail sent to me for this account.

                      For the business regarding home having let my friend borrow my email to sign up, I thought I had already explained hat quite clearly. No, he does not have my password, yes, I confirmed it on my email, no we did not know that you didn't need to confirm it to get the "full qidian experience". We thought you could change or remove your email from an account if you wanted. Which obviously did not turn out to be the case

                              Retribution I was talking to Koral. And you never said what happened on your google+ account you just said you wanted to use that email. You never said it didn't allow you to use that email, did you even try? I have never tried any of that as I only have 1 account. I was explaining to koral that I had no idea what your google+ account connected with webnovel looks like, I was speculating the possibilites based on only the known.

                              I don't think webnovel actually uses these emails since they never asked you for one on your google+ linked account but now suddenly you want to delete the one your friend made to use the email YOU confirmed on your Google+ linked account when you never had it linked before. If you go to settings it will ask you to put in an email, at least that is what it did for me. Why not just try to put in the email and see if it works? You never said you tried anything so... idk?

                              I don't think webnovel would just go around deleting accounts especially since you never confirmed your email on your google+, doesn't make much sense when you think of it. So I don't think you have to worry so much about them deleting your account

                                  To clarify more, yes, I have tried that. Yes, I've tried changing the email, yes, I've tried adding the email onto this account. I couldn't change the email, and I couldn't add it to his account because it was already in use. I had said both of these earlier so I'm not sure why you're accusing me of not trying anything st all.

                                      Retribution You really never said you tried to change the email on both accounts you just kept saying you didn't know if the email was linked on your Google sign in.

                                      But maybe you meant to say it, but like I said I doubt they will delete your account because of it, especially if you never fill in the email for the google+. But if it bugs you so much maybe try discord for bug reports and suggestions, put that the email is not able to be changed and accounts are not able to be deleted. This will probably be a bigger problem in the future.

                                          I want to know is there a time laps for a account that's not being used? and gets removed? because I have the same problem that this friend of mine just did something and wanted some stuff but I had no idea and he didn't tell me what was this for I said no but he insisted I got pissed off at him and he just said it's okay but for me I don't register to things I do not use and I want to remove this account as soon as possible.
