What did I cause the author? I don't undestand.
It seems you're most upset with how the review was written, and me joking about how, through the horrible grammar, spousal abuse, and paper-thin characters, that my anger for gem just randomly being called a liar (and me having nothing else to do but read at work, guess you conveniently missed that bit?), that my righteous indignation after seeing the author just pop in like a fucking hobgoblin, say mean things when none of us had any idea what work was being talked about. That my desire to see if gem or the author was in the right, and seeing how the author had handled themselves, was all the kept me even mildly interested, was fucked up.
I guess?
Call centers are boring. Fighting with idiots is fun. Made even more entertaining when the only thing they can say is that the review was mean, when you didn't even know the context in which it was written. It was like the author felt we were talking about them, instead of their work. Theres even examples of some of my harrassers implying that because I left a negative review, that I am a bad person. Oh wait that was you!

(I do admit that there were plot points that I was incorrect about, and I'm ok with that! I can live with being wrong, as I am never reading this garbage again! But the core of what I was talking about, is correct.)
Gem purposfully left the author anonymous because:
A.) Didn't want drama, was just mad that they got harassed for their review.
B.) It really wasn't a bit deal. Gem understood this.
The author didn't have to come in here swinging like a fool, but they did? Why?
Because of their fragile ego.
