I am now writing 2 novels, a realistic fiction and a thriller fantasy, and am considering submitting the former to Amazon and the latter to Webnovel.
When I first did my initial chapters in Webnovel, I did not know that the format is submitting the chapters by installment, one at a time, to develop a readership. I thought it was like in Amazon kdp where you just upload one time the entire manuscript and wait for feedback.
The system in Webnovel was very new to me. I didn't know that each finished chapter has to be published to garner readership and build up viewers.
After understanding the system, I stop writing the novel in the Webnovel template to finish it first completely, then to publish it by chapter a day later.
The system is a new format of writing. If the novelist writes directly to the template and publish raw chapters daily, the problem is the difficulty to improve much better the already published chapters. You cannot revise it for more improvements.
Another thing I noticed from reading some chapters was the absence of perfecting the craft of writing. It seems everybody is in a hurry, sacrificing styles and substance.
Well, such is just an observation worthy maybe to mention.
