Everutime I check in or read am I supposed to earn coins or points because it says coins first then it changes to points, I this is the way it works how am I supposed to earn more coins?

The way to earn more coins is by farming points. After you have enough points, you can exchange them with coins or vouchers at the in-app store.
EDIT: Nevermind. I just checked the in-app store, it looks like they have removed the possibility to exchange points with coins. You can only exchange points for vouchers.
Of course, you can always get them by purchasing them.
Even if we read hours we don't get any coins...u know....and how we can use farming mode that said to give us coins...

You farm points, not coins. You don't get coins from the farming mode, but points. Points are not the same as coins. Please make sure you understand there's a difference between these two terms.
After you gain enough points from the farming mode, you can exchange them with coins vouchers at the in-app store. The in-app store is located in your profile tab.
