Non-Romance Female Lead novels?
All_Night I would recommend Doomsday Wonderland little to no romance with a female Protagonist. Atleast as far as I’ve read. (chapter 500)
I was just beginning to read it since I heard high reviews for it but then fast pass thing happened. Can't binge read it before the novel I follow is completed. Although I haven't caught up to chapters where premium starts, I dropped it then. Waiting for it to be at daily free section again.
KGeno That explains why my novel is in that section. I thought it was a mistake.
Oh wow, I thought it only happen in translations. WN should change it Fantasy Romance, Eastern Romance and just make Romance a tag.
I had a discussion with another user months ago about the same thing, since my own novels also have that issue.
Novels with clear female MCs were, and are still, placed under the male lead section. Also, notice how some of the stories in the FL section is a male protagonist but it's a BL romance.
burntpotato Maybe because it's written in a language other than English or because it's horror and there aren't many of those in my language. I will follow your suggestion to see what happens
Yeah, we joked that there were no Male and Female Lead sections. Only an 'Everything else' section and a 'Romance' section.
Female lead novels definitely exist on the translated and original list but they're not exactly easy to find nor are they anywhere near as promoted. Then again the promotion system here is also more than a little skewed so, eh good look to everyone looking for the right things to read. Same boat while WN classification system is still like this.
My new book is a female lead non-Romance story that updates weekly. Perhaps it might be of interest to you.

thank you everyone. I was so annoyed earlier. Also glad to know the female leads are in male lead section to thats a biy confusing. Wish the filter system was better on this app.

There's also Muchuan and Xiang Wan (previously known as Murder the Dream Guy) and When a Snail Falls in Love which are both murder mysteries. They're both more of a slice of life mondern romance but it doesn't overwhelm the plot.
I second Release that Man (first few couple of chapters are a bit ridiculous but after that she's like a female James Bond) and Empress Livestream.
And be warned about Doomsday. The 3rd or 4th arc has some extreme gore. Very disturbing. Lucky you can just skip it without missing much.
Edit: Maybe you could try Coming of the Female Boss too. It spans several different worlds so I suggest you find the NU spoiler thread to look up which stories you what. But romance is so lacking people complain non-stop in the comment section Mc defends her food with a passion mc x food forever lol
Shameless plug, but the only real reason why my novel is in the Fantasy Romance section is for more traction. The romance in it is very scarce, almost non-existent in the beginning. Maybe you'd like it?

I've always seen praises for Ding Mo's novel yet I never tried any of them. Your recommendation gave me a push. I just finished binge reading it and thank you very much for the gem. UwU
