  • Why I'm getting less views in writing the novel ?

BhupendraGanvir I've written 7 chapters on my Novel and have about 1.2k views and roughtly 10 collections.
Idk if that's close to what you've gotten but it might be standard, I'm not sure how the viewer system works.
But if you wanna do a review swap I'm game

First thing first - Do you have a cover?
Second - Do you think that your synopsis is alluring enough to get someone to read even the first chapter?
Third - Did you upload those chapters all at once? Or in 2-3 days? Views take time to grow.

Overall, remember, writing is a process that takes patience, patience and once again, yes, you guessed it, luck. If you manage to get some hooks that will get readers to your novel, you have better chances of getting big. Also, when you get some loyal readers, ask them to write reviews for you. With 10 reviews, your book will receive a rating (which immensly helps)

Yes I have given it whole 1 week time and it nearly get 1 k views , hey I'm not depressed but I m happy about it , I not depressed for those people who didn't read it but I'm happy for that people who read it

    Thanks for reply

BhupendraGanvir I read some of your novel and i think you would get a lot more views and return readers if you were to get a Editor to kind of clean it up some

My new work Steel Legion started with like a thousand views when it started. Now it is still a thousand and six hundred. Pretty slow progress actually. It really depend if you have captivated the readers...

Slewis very well... Hehehe. By the way, which one?

I will read and post a review soon. Probably thia day.

BhupendraGanvir I've been writing for a month now. My novel just started to increase views when it got ranked under new (it has like 20+ chaps). While my other novel that I don't update and just left it with 4 chapters have the same views since week 2 , until now it has 1k views.

I think one of the key is you update stably. Advertise your own work. There is a thread I read regarding beginners for writers. It was helpful. I think it's under 'Guide to Webnovel Forum'. There is a link for new writers.

BhupendraGanvir Did you upload the chapters at once or over time like in daily releases? Readers here seem to like seeing daily releases or at least some regular release rate of chapters.

As MotivatedSloth has said. A good cover and summary is also key to hooking in readers.

If you're new to creative writing, getting some feedback is a good idea. You can achieve this by participating in "swap review" threads. Another writer should be able to give you some points of impressions.

BhupendraGanvir hello there! maybe the genre you are writing doesn't fit the current platform of the site. wn caters more to romance and wish fulfillment novels. and fanfics are also on the rise. if you love continuing your original work, one thing i could advise you though is to make face slapping scenes, humor, and instant gratification scenes on your early chaps, you must even start it on the first chapter to get your potential readers to get hooked and continue reading your novel to the latest chapter you've written. or at least, initial chapters that gets the interest of the readers and would make them think of what's next. a good tip to be better on this is to read the top novels in the rankings and copy/innovate on them and their styles. look how those authors get readers by creating death defying cliff hangers. hahaha! the readers flood in them novels like life saving waters in a world full of sand. hope this somehow helps you. glhf writing! cheers!

I kind of agree with this too. Different sites attract certain readership. Like RR is good for LitRPG stuff, Inkitt is does well for contemporary by my experience. WP is good for mainstream... Every site offers different readership. It's a matter of finding out which ones work best.

Ah the experiences/comments/reviews from readers on each site is quite different too!

Royal Road demands to be entertained- and a medium level on grammar gradings (Wn is like....grammar bar on the floor)
Scribble hub is pretty new but interactive- I've been posting on it for less than a month but getting lots of comments. (they a solid 7/10 on the grammar harshness)
Wattpad......we no not speak of wattpad.

Of course, fanfictions sites are whole different genre. Honestly, I don't know why I would read fanfics on here? When so many fanfics archives with a better sorting search and #### of results/stories are already on them? But that's why we talking original stories I guess.

I feel that too.😓 I'm writing for two months now and I constantly check my notifications for any comments or collections. There are 3-4 readers who sometimes comment. Otherwise it's absolute silence.😔 You can hear even a pin dropping on the floor, it is that silent...sigh

enthu_reader psh I'd be super happy with one comment on my chapters lol I've been wanting solid feed back since I started 2 days ago xD but your pain I imagine is about 2 months times my own lol
