When hand-signing contracts, the general business practice is to place some marks, usually hand-written initials of the signing parties at bottom corners, on each and every page, except the one where you do the signing, in order to authenticate what's on the sheet.
This is done to prevent
1) one party later swapping a page with new words and then claiming the other party has agreed to it, or
2) one party falsely accusing the other of doing 1)
