The_Unholy_One Because, quite frankly, your review reads like something a troll would write.
"Read if you like masochist slave protagonist that makes stupid decisions" and complaining that he helps a girl who beats him to death is not a "review", it is in no way "constructive criticism" and it just comes acrross as entitled whining.
In other words, you could have said, "I hate this story because I find it stupid" and nobody would be none the wiser about what exactly is bad or stupid about the story. He's a masochist slave? Gee, what exactly does that mean? If anything, he sounds like a nice guy, if a bit naive, because he helps those people who are mean to him. That's admirable, not...stupid or masochistic. And just because you help other people, doesn't mean you're a slave. Also, if it's that kind of story, I don't see why you rated it 1 star. If anything, it reinforces the impression that you're trolling the author purely because his book or genre isn't to your personal preference.
Also, the whole "stupid" thing is subjective. Most readers often believe themselves as geniuses who think they know much better than the protagonist, and when he makes a mistake or when he doesn't do what they would do when they are in his shoes, they automatically condemn him as "stupid." For example, in the Divine Wolf, just because the protagonist decides to follow a bunch of humans into the city, readers complain about him being stupid, and demand that he remains in the wilderness instead. Why should he? Ark is Ark, and not the readers. If he wants to follow the humans to get a better understanding of the new world around him, then he will, and to hell to the edgy readers who want him to disown everything human and live as a wolf for no reason other than because...I don't know, they project their own desires on the story. I also wrote a story where the protagonist has powerful summoning spells, but the weakness is that they take too long to cast. Readers condemned him as stupid and demand that he should have summoned them before the match - which, if you have played any Magic: The Gathering tournament, you'd know is against the rules. But yeah, many readers think themselves smarter than the protagonist and condemn him as stupid just because he doesn't do what they would have done, or doesn't abuse the system, often believing that they know the system better than the characters, or the world of the story better than the writer, so it's hard to take such "criticisms" seriously. If you truly think he is stupid, elaborate and explain why, not just throw an insult, and then complain when the writer deletes your review.
