    So, you want an editor, not a proofreader.

    Proofreaders are only responsible for finding typos, grammatical errors, and missing/incorrect punctuation.

    Am I understanding this correctly?

        Clowniac i dont want someone to change sentence structure. Just tenses and wor choice. I thought editors= line editing? Am i wrong?

            Editors are responsible for tense changes, word choice, and the sentence structure changes that ultimately end up resulting from changing tense and words within a sentence. They are also responsible for tone consistency, subtext, theme, characterization consistency, plot and structural monitoring to prevent plot holes and inconsistencies, etc.

            All of this, of course, in addition to proofreading.

            Does that make sense?

              Proofreading is really just checking grammatical, spelling or punctuation errors.
