odyssey101 Yeah but the problem is that if someone reports a bot, then multiple others will do too, causing WN to have reports spammed with Bots comments than "non-bots comment".
It's still very concerning tho and it's getting out of hand, WN went from having to deal with scrape bots and view bots in the forums to now the bots commenting on some novels, and yes it might not be a problem for famous novels, it is a problem for small novels that don't get too much attention and the huge problem is that bots get more smarter not to just gather information and scrape novels for piracy but it is also easy to trick new authors like that, To be fair I didn't notice it in the last 2-3 days I was getting it until today and that's really absurd let me tell you.
Now while I'm not a new author, I wrote my first novel back in 2019, where I didn't face this bot problem (it was only the views that were suspicious in 2019 but it didn't bother me at all for some reason and i think i don't have any excuse for this really as my novels are actually free to read) which it would lead me to disadvantages and literally had no idea about bots until I came back in 2020 to write a second novel, I was taking it easy and I was taking stuff too seriously with the bots until today, I reversed everything to where it was supposed to be and left it on to check the forums to see if anyone's aware and it seems like you are, so I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one aware of this issue.
So far I wish I would solve this problem, while i could complain at WN for this problem, I don't think it would be solved as if even WN dealt with these bot comments, more and more would be coming, and the bots will also get more and more smarter to even disguise themselves as Legitimate user easily (maybe) but what I really want from the company is to at least warn users about this so they don't fall for it again like me! (while yes it's not a big issue, I would still avoid responding to bots no matter the circumstances)
