Hi, I wonder if there was an advice and/or a better way to make decent synopsis? I've seen that many people write longer synopsis than I normally plan and write however I can't seem to get the hang of making a decent synopsis and my results always come shorter than a normal writer would:

My first synopsis:
"A group of 5 high school students in Excestron high school have been friends for a while so they have been hanging out, having fun, and playing games together but one day they decided to create a gaming club as part of their after school activity.

Our friends will start their journey to creating a Gaming Club as they go through a lot of trouble and finally being able to finish their exams so they can have their whole free time on their favorite activity but will they make it or will they have trouble making it?"

After an attempt of extending it:
"A group of 5 high school students in Excestron high school has been friends for a while so they have been hanging out, having fun, and playing games together, one day they decided to make a Gaming club for their after school activity.

"Why don't we create a Gaming club for our after school activity rather than having to play together in our houses?" one of them said, our friends agreed to this and they decided to start planning, after the planning, they realized that it wasn't as easy as they expected to be.

Read as our friends begin their journey to creating a Gaming club after they go through a lot of trouble and having to be focused on exams and tests altogether. Will they make it into creating it or not and are they going to actually succeed or will they have trouble keeping the club?"

But for some reason i simply can't make it on par with other synopsis (a normal writer's one) or making longer synopsis in general.

I will appreciate the advices and the suggestion I will get in return!

    GorujoKun Well a synopsis, summary, or blurb, as they are referred to does not have to be very long. I have a lot of series and make a living as a full-time author, and I have blurbs that are super short, but I also have novels with long blurbs. It is not the length that matters, but what you convey with it.

    My shortest blurb (from Overthrowing Fate which is also on this site):

    I never wanted much of life.

    A simple job as a guard and to provide for my sister

    Jealousy of man destroyed my dreams, and thus I thread upon the road of vengeance

    Entering a world filled with danger lurking around every corner

    A world where only the strongest can survive

    Filled with unwavering determination, I will not back down.

    I will gain my vengeance!

    A longer one (From Condemning the Heavens, also here on Webnovel):

    In the continent of Chang'an humans had lived as livestock and slaves to the Primordial Beasts. These beasts were ferocious, bloodthirsty and overwhelmingly powerful, but even so, the humans managed to prevail in the face of despair.

    So what is it you want to convey with your blurb? Do you want something concise or do you want to make a much more detailed blurb?

    Both works, to be honest, it is just a question about preference and what the type of book you write is.

    If I were to make a summary from what you wrote, I would choose a much more concise version. If you don't mind waiting, I can give it a read and then write my version of a summary and you can see if it inspires you?

        Tinalynge unfortunately i didn't write any chapter yet on the novel I'm working on due to the lack of problems I had with Webnovels, however what I'm trying to summarize as usual is that there will be 5 students in this particular high school that have been friends for a long time, one time they decided to make a gaming club so they hanged out somewhere like idk where will I set this but mostly in this case, a Café, after the planning as i mentioned, they realized that it wasn't easy as they expected to be so they have to make progress in order to find ways to finally establish a gaming club in their high school without having the risks of abandoning due to lack of members and they also have to find their right room for that purpose, for example the characters as school breaks begin, are looking around at school to find the right room not just for the consoles and computers but also for Virtual Reality gaming so they have to find an exact space where they could actually do it and without of course breaking any school regulation. Anyways the point is to go through on their first, second and third year until one of these years they finally make their goal which is making a gaming club.

                A synopsis is exactly that part of the text that contains a short description of the work from beginning to end. Usually its length does not exceed two or three pages, but in some cases the authors stretch the synopsis for 10-15 pages. I like your idea, but I still have a poor idea of its implementation.
