How do I change the background colour for a chapter?
When on the chapter, tap the bottom of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the box on the bottom box. There should be four symbols. Tap the second symbol, the moon/ sun, to switch between a white and black background.
How do I download a novel?
When on a chapter for the desired novel, tap the bottom of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the box on the top box. On the right side of it, there should be three symbols. Tap the middle symbol. The whole novel will be downloaded.
If I’ve previously downloaded a novel and I want to download the latest chapters, will it download only the latest chapters or the whole novel?
The whole novel will be downloaded again.
How can I switch from page/ turn view to scroll view when reading?
When on the chapter, tap the bottom of your screen. Two black boxes should appear from the top and bottom of the screen. Look at the box on the bottom box. There should be four symbols. Tap the third symbol, the ‘Aa’. Look at the bottom-right of the black box. There should be icons; a box with arrows pointing up and down and a box with arrows pointing left and right. Tapping the box with the up-and-down arrows will enable scroll view or you can tap the box with the left-and-right arrows to enable page/ turn view instead.

How do I change the background colour for a chapter?
When on a chapter, look to the right side of your screen. There should be a sidebar with four symbols on it. Click on the second symbol down, the cog (a universal indicator of settings). A new sidebar should flick open. At the top of the sidebar, you should have the option to change between a white, sepia and black background.

What are Spirit Stones used for?
Spirit Stones are used to skip ads on adwalled chapters and are used to purchase chapters with premium walls.
How many types of Spirit Stones are there?
There are 3 types:
Spirit Stones. These are bought Spirit Stones that never expire.
Bonus Spirit Stone (1st type). These types of Bonus Spirit Stones come along as a free gift whenever you purchase Spirit Stones. They have a 90-day expiry date.
Bonus Spirit Stones (2nd type). These types of Bonus Spirit Stones are given whenever you vote at https://www.webnovel.com/vote or when you complete your daily check-in. They have a 30-day expiry date.
Why am I losing Spirit Stones?
Normal Spirit Stones that you obtain from daily check-ins expire in 1 month. Why can’t I watch an ad anymore? And why has the price increased from 4 Spirit Stones to X Spirit Stones?
There are three types of ‘barriers’ for novels:
Completely free. These novels have no form of barrier or walls, allowing anyone to read them.
Adwalled. Usually, the latest two chapters of these novels have an adwall. Anyone can view the ad to read the chapter (even if you’re not logged in, however, if you log in again, the system won’t realise that you’ve already seen the ad) or they can pay 4 Spirit Stones (you have to be logged in for this) to read the chapter.
Premium walled. Some novels may be premium walled which means that you won’t be able to watch an ad to read the chapter. Roughly, for premium chapters, one must pay a Spirit Stone for every 200 words. However, if a chapter is 1000 words, for example, you might not necessarily pay 5 Spirit Stones. There may be other factors influencing the Spirit Stone price.

If you used an email to create your account, you have to use your email and password to log in. You can’t log into the account created by your social account with your email and vice versa.
