Would private chats allow people to communicate with each other easily?
Would the pros of them outway the cons?
Could we expand them later into group chats for sects and stuff?

The real question is, does QI Int want this website to be a platform for just reading or a communication platform as well? If it's the former, would PMs dilute the experience too much? If it's the latter, would it be worthwhile to consider adding them in?

Oops, just realised that every sentence I spoke was a question...

MissVixen Hmm... True, there is discord but not everyone might have it and to have the ability to privately chat through the website would be a lot more convenient than opening up another program.
The use of an external program as the sole way to PM other users, in my opinion, doesn't seem like the best way forward...

      I agree with this suggestion.
Most of people don't know discord...
Because of this, we can only speak with them when replying to them : 1) It's not private 2) The things we write aren't about the topic on where we're replying....

Neverfire7: I just wanted to point out that you can open up a Discord in the browser and chat away using the browser only.

But I do support of a way to Direct Message/Private Message someone.

I just feel PMs on the website would be so much more convenient instead of going somewhere else

Qidian should be more super store-y. Have everything in one place.
