I think we should all be careful about accusations like this. You can't just say that she copied this and that without any proof. Plagiarism could ruin an authors career.

And to be honest, saying that she copied her novel is like saying that All CEO novels just copied from Trial Marriage or Full Marks Hidden Marriage because they have a CEO male lead.

Does it like adaption? does all exactly the same? for example Taiwan drama Fated to love you being adapted into manhua and with so many drama remake. That also copyright.

Yuki_Qing depends on who adapted the novel. If the adapter is the copyright holder, it's fine.

Adaption and translation are similar activities. They're both under copyright protections.

Veronica8 thanks. I know that Taiwan drama copyright but if the above poster feel the situation are the same and it exactly 100% same so make a report on that. Just because it not come from novel, doesn't mean drama team and screenwriter doesnt have the copyright.

Yuki_Qing yep. The best the op can do is alert the source, so that'll be the author or copyright holder. It has to be the copyright holder to take action on the matter.

@hayatahmedallah I am a Webnovel staff and one of the editors who is looking after this book.

We were notified about this book a few weeks ago. We spoke to the author who told us her detailed plot outline, and the female editors determined that her plot outline is vastly different from the TV drama's plot outlines.

@TheBlips is right, accusations of plagiarism are very serious and it can end a writer's career. You should have some 100% undeniable proof that something is copied. You can email me at islindayang@yuewen.com if you are certain you have undeniable proof. Even then we are very sure this author has not plagiarised anything. The plot may have some similarities but if you're going to be pedantic about it, you can say 'Shark Tale' plagiarised 'Finding Nemo' because they both are about sea creatures. Similarities and plagiarism are two very different things.

hayatahmedallah cough πŸ˜… Eternal melody's author loves the book younger brother in law is now my husband πŸ’™. In my opinion the reason why I like this book is πŸ˜†πŸ˜† because it's UNIQUE and different from the average typical cliche books...

Please be careful when you accuse somebody of copying πŸ˜ƒ.

            hayatahmedallah

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, as islinda had mentioned, we have looked into this and have determined that the story is different from the mentioned TV series.

We do take accusations of plagiarism seriously and we do investigate. But if we find that there are no grounds for the accusations, the person who makes said accusations will also be penalised for falsified information.

@hayatahmedallah Thank you for bringing this up. As others including my colleagues have mentioned, plagiarism is a serious offense and we have taken care to look into this. However do note that false accusations can be considered slander which is yet another offense so do take care when making such serious statements.

As we have checked with the author previously and received novel outlines of their story, we can confirm that this is not a plagiarised story so please watch what you say about others. Thank you.

I have seen many similar stories from Isekai, this is more clichΓ© than plagiarism. Perhaps plagiarism - ideas, plot, but not the story itself as a whole, since the arches are different there.

Little_Goddess I guess mine wasn't worth the look :sob:

Serious note, I honestly don't know. It's all perception.

There's some select books that gets feature and reader love. A vast majority are in the underground catalog of Webnovel. Especially those where the character development is emotional, mature and requires the reader to be open to vulnerabilities. Not many readers look for or can find those.

BL is the more popular of the LGBTQ niche and tends to get features on a select range from time to time. I guess you could check out the BL books here.

This is one of the best BL I, personally, can recommend here. Well written, excellent grammar and totally a hidden gem. Sweet Dreams

GL is likely the unspoken genre here and 90% of them are in underground catalog Unfortunately the only one I had been following was removed since it wasn't doing well. You're less likely to find a completed GL book here. I noticed there's another post that's gathering a list. You could probably check it out for hits> W/W post

            I hope that helps.

Note to anyone else. Poster asked for rec, so I gave. Since we don't have DM, couldn't see any easier other option to answer to Poster question. Pinky promise I won't derail the thread any more.

hayatahmedallah Apparently I have watched kumkum pyara sa bandhan (over 400 + episodes years back) starring Hussain and Jhuhi. I still remember it because of Hussain. He was handsome after all!
And i can confidently say the story on Webnovel doesnot resembles even 1% of kumkum.
Allow me to compare some of the key points to refresh your memory about your FAVORITE SHOW-

              1. SUMIT was adult when he got married but in this book the FL is marrying a kid.
              2. Sumit was not in love with kumkum but in this book the kid loves her already.
              3. Jatin (FL's decesed husband) died of brain tumor i.e natural death. However, reasons are different here which i won't disclose.
              4. I can vaguely recall the show revolved around Sumit's evil girlfriend and Kumkum protecting the family. But here...
              5. The show never showed the bonding and love between Jatin and Kumkum but on WN.....
              6. It even took two leaps of 20 years.

I can continue writing this but please read the book and watch the show on hotstar (1400+ episodes) before slandering an author who is working hard for almost 2 years.
Just for the knowledge, the author has thousands of Indian readers and they haven't seen any similarities between the two. I don't know on what grounds you claimed that.

Just because the FL married her brother in law you made your own conclusions. If that's the case every CEO book is same as the FL is falling for a CEO.

Before slandering the reader is requested to clear facts. Slandering is a crime.

Slandering and Defamation is a crime. People should stop thinking they are safe just because they slander on the internet. You can easily get sued for what you said on the internet just as you can be sued by what you spoke. If the author decided to sue you, she would 100% win and the damages for defamation are high. If anyone else has more stupid allegations then be ready to face a lawsuit. hayatahmedallah

Before making all those claims without proof, please note that behind every username online are humans with feelings.

The complaint doesn't even pointed out what exactly was copied.

Anyway, let's respect other's feelings before doing things. It's funny how this wasn't noticed since the book started and just now. Duh

              Let's refrain from baseless attack.πŸ™…

duh! The claim is probably by a person with no knowledge of books... but atleast try to respect the hard work of an author.... you are talking about one of the finest authors of webnovel that too without any evidence... do you think you can say any thing to defame the authors and webnovel... ? you better stop this stupidy before i actually sue you for the defamation of a fellow author. (Trust me, I very well have the capability to even put you behind bars. It is my profession)

                hayatahmedallah
Well, so if people who actually read it and watched the show are not agreeing with your claims, you should either reunite proofs of what you are saying or at least, apologize for what you have said.
A third option is to hide, but it will undeniably show the type of person you are.
You showed 'some attitude' when you called out WN, authors and even me, for questioning you. If I was the one who were so sure of what I'm saying, I'd have some proofs gathered to begin with, but of course you haven't, since you hid when called to show them.

SrtaA I agree. I think he/she should apologize, because funny enough, the chirpiness has stopped.

Why no reply if the claim was right?

                  A single 'I'm sorry' wouldn't hurt.

Let's assume you were wrong, so apologize for publicly slandering someone's name.
