StarveCleric Any response to my question on why @WEBNOVEL_OFFICIAL's English skills are so bad and why QI is being so unprofessional by hiring him? Or do you not have freedom of speech to answer that question?
Library of Heaven’s Path (Premium)

StarveCleric That's the point. All we hear is 'we need the premium system', but no staff actually discussed or stated their view on other models like subscriptions. Since they don't want to discuss and simply state 'that's our system and we need it', no one can blame the community for getting enraged or threads/discussions getting out of hand
tototorototo The release rate will stay the same. And the daily dose will diminish. Free chapters are 7/week unlike the previous release rate
TargetPractice1 man, you're asking him to badmouth his co worker, and even if he does, no one would make it open to talk in a community
@StarveCleric can i pay you a whole book's worth of translation instead of waiting every day for the release?
StarveCleric Way too many people are coming in preconceived notions, intending to only voice and emphasize their personal opinions time and time again instead of conversing.
And what do you think conversing is, if not for voicing their personal opinions?
this is i quote from dictionary.com
converse; verb (used without object), conversed, conversing.
1. to talk informally with another or others; exchange views, opinions, etc., by talking.
You might not realize this, but people already have their opinion on this. The forum is more like a platform to see whos got the same idea and who doesn't, to change the opinion on a forum there is little to none you could do, except provide facts, opinion based on facts, good grammar, and some nice pun (which didn't work on this forum).
50$ for 200 chapters <__<
They can use a monthly subscription instead of the milk cow one
StarveCleric How do you converse without sharing a opinion? It's that not how it works?

Threetimess which i could spend in getting roughly 15 cups of grande mocha instead lol

GregLuck I have phrased my words badly. I meant to emphasize "time and time again -> repetitively like a tape recorder".
There's quite a difference between converse and voicing one's opinion in the definition you gave. Voicing is a one-way thing, conversing is a two-way thing. If all you intend is to voice your opinion, doing it once is more than sufficient. If all one is trying to do is to enforce one's opinion on another instead of attempting to persuade with "facts, opinion based on facts, good grammar, and some nice pun" on here (assuming that those who are here are concerned and hope to possibly make a change with their views), it'll just turn into a debate like this "Pikachu is the best pokemon" "No, Charlizard is the best pokemon" "You dumbass, Pikachu is clearly the best pokemon" "Screw you, Charlizard is obviously the best of all".
The main point isn't really to convince others, but to come to a mutual understanding and possibly compromise, or simply agree to disagree.
EDIT: Alright, fine I get how conversing involves the exchange of opinion, but I think the point is clear here.

and going by the average chapter count, that sh!t does not even cover 1/5 of the total chapters.
for 50$ you could get the whole 7 harry potter paperback books from amazon or 2 sets of percy jackson&the olympians.
GregLuck $50 dolars is more than enough to cover one month of my travel expenses to the university lol
StarveCleric There is no facts about the premium known to readers. More than a month has passed and the staff did not answer a single thread about premium in the forum, with a concise and clear answer about our doubts and concerns. All I saw was translators and editors defending the system and insulting the ones that can't or won't pay for it. So all we can do in our arguments is voice our opinions because there is no facts to argue about. You are saying all we do is voice our opinions but you did the same. You gave your opinion and give ours.
It seems like they don't understand that people are going to use aggregator sites, if they don't change the way the premium is working...

Lomacris For the translators and editors insulting the readers who are unwilling or unable to pay, I can only say shame on them.
I am not saying the voicing of one's opinion is a problem, but we are going nowhere if we are just going to disregard the argument of others and emphasize the same opinions over and over again. Of course, I am not saying everyone on the forum is like that, but there have been quite a bit of that on the forum. At the very least, I think my responses are based on the arguments that others have built. I don't ask you to agree with my point of view, but I introduce new perspectives for everyone to view the matter with in hopes that they can see the rationale behind my stand better. I believe that this is how a discussion should proceed on.
I am not too sure about what concerns and doubts those on the forum have regarding the premium, so I may I ask about it here? If it's within my means, I'll try to answer them.
And regarding the point about there being no facts to argue about, the main issue I take with that is when people make assumptions without stating them under such circumstances, and others simply assume them to be true and quote them on it. It is much easier to spread false news than to squash them, I believe many can agree with me on that.

exactly my thought, by the time when all popular novel goes premium, agregator site would sprout out like crazy.

Pretty sure most political discussions these days go like this anyway... Regardless, your analogy is flawed in that you are comparing someone exercising their right to free speech against translators, who risk losing their income with any negative comment they make regarding Qidian or their policies, a comparison which I believe is greatly misleading.
However, I agree that we should not completely discount a translators opinion, rather we should treat their comments as an extension of QI's position on the subject, as opposed to a completely personal and unbiased account of their own.
Let's say if I wanted to reach LOTH with unlocking before FREE chapters catch me.
Let's make an elementary math.
Let's say LOHP is ended at 1100. (You know it won't ended at 1100,right?)
and Premium program start at 600.(after removing initial free chapters i can get for this week?)
500 chapters x 14 ss (the last chapter I checked had 14599 words in English)
7000 ss (around 50 $) and you know the novel is not ended yet.
And if the release rate is still the same 14/week for 500 chapter it will be 35 week (around 9 month) for me to finish reading while paying.
If I don't unlock chapter and go with FREE release rate 7/week? 70 week(1 year and 4 month) for me to reached to Chapter 1100.
And I don't only read one webnovel alone.
Let's say I will have to spend 50$ for 1 webnovel I read, I will have to spend 500 $(in 9 month) for 10 webnovels.
May be it isn't that much money for other people but I can just buy 40 famous translated works or even yenpress ones(13$x40).
Yes I already had some of these books.
Yes I have my living expenses and some other hobbies too.
Well, I am just blabbering something coz I am bored.
May be I will have hibernate the whole year and binge read FREE chapters again.
I still have free spirit stones so actually I can still read some titles here.
May be I will buy around 1-10 $ when I am out of SS.
I will have to quit reading each and every FREE book I see.
I still like LOTH tho.
I just wish there are more suitable payment program (more cheaper one preferably)
Reading how you idiots pointlessly bash at each other is even more interesting than some of the novels on this site.)
