Here is a recent project of mine, RSS_Webnovel : a RSS feed for Webnovel.com
If you don't know what a RSS feed is, wikipedia says :
"RSS is a type of web feed which allows users to access updates to online content in a standardized, computer-readable format. These feeds can, for example, allow a user to keep track of many different websites in a single news aggregator."
The project:
As the majority of you already know, the mobile app' of Webnovel can send you notifications whenever a new chapter is released. This option is really essential for me as a big fan of Chinese novels .. but when I am on my computer I can't know when a new chapter is released (I'm a college student and I'm always on my computer).
So I made a program using the RSS feed of webnovel.
As you can see on this picture (if you can see it..) the novels I read are Immortal Mortal , The Castle of Black Iron and Tales of Herding Gods, the program displays on my desktop (wallpaper actually) the latest chapters of those novels and the titles.
The font, size of the font, color, the position of the text, the interval of refresh and which novel you want to follow is fully customizable. Everything is explained in the "config" folder of the program.
For the next version I plan to add the option of displaying the time of the release.
This program uses about 0.1 to 15 Mb of RAM (15Mb when you run it and after some times is drops to 0.1) and is about 90Mo (which is big for what it is. I think that the compiler is not optimized enough, I will try to correct that later).

The default configuration of the program will display you the nintendo wallpaper with my favorites novels.
