  • Premium chapter release for Library of Heavens Path is unacceptable

yup,i stop reading it. And few other premium. And ohh. I read it somewhere else foc

Tomz Starve announced that he will be dropping back down to 11 chapters a week for LOHP

  • Tomz replied to this.

Wtf are you guys on about? this is what we all were complaining about since the start of this great system, that it's just the same release rate, but now you pay money for it. tadaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!daaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!......

    A_Baby_Seal

I don't know about that math... LoHP costs you 12,5$ a month if you follow it consequently. While there are not as many released chapters as with other novels, LoHP chapters are longer than most others. Thats why they cost 12-13 spirit stones and other novels like RTW only cost about 7. Essentially this means that LoHP chapters amount to nearly two regular chapters of other novels.

Also, I don't get what you people are all about with your 'I am paying for a service' . No. You are paying to be allowed to read the novel. And, essentially it doesn't make a difference how much chapters are released, because the cost of it will increase accordingly as we pay per word count. Your internet-connection analogy is all over the place. You also don't get to decide what TV Series Netflix produces next are how many episodes of a popular series are released per week just because you are a customer. You pay for 'access' not for 'service'.

Cruel average words for 1 chapter is 2500 - 3000 words, so lohp chapter has a standart words dude, novels like Martial god asura and release that witch have abnormal short chapter.

Luoxuanxuan are you serious dude? When the translator said that? That is really a disappointment. So we really get exactly same chapters/week after become premium? Now, there is no point to defend this translator.

Tss.. Paying customer argument? Are you a Westerner?
"Oooooh, I don't care for your problems cause I paid you."
Such a disgusting show of character. A type of client I wouldn't want my services availed by. I'd rather let a customer like you go than worsen my health and possibly make me stressed to the point of being hospitalized. Bunch of whiners who can't even read the original source of projects here. You may drop the novel if you want, pretty sure no one in the comment section would be.missing you.

Tomz Starve said this immediately when it became a premium novel. The release rate was only increased temporarily to catch up to the advanced chapters which were offered previously via patreon, so that the old patreon supporters wouldn't have to wait that long, since there are no patreon advanced chapters anymore.

Tomz and I don't think the TL is to be blamed for it, since this premium system was decided on by QI

TitaniaPrime There is something most people don't understand, it isnt the translators that are to blame but Webnovel, they introduced this money grubbing system. After all is it normal to pay more than 10$ monthly for so little ? What of those that follow many stories at a time ? I do not think even half of what we pay and is generated by the ads is payed to the translators. Webnovels became famous around the world thanks to the efforts of independants translators, it is now an opportunity to make money for some company. So I think it's normal to complain.I may be exagerating a bit but did you notice ? On this forum, you can only like post, not dislike them :p ( Sorry for the mistakes, I'm french)

Yakumo no, qidian give translator choices, and starve pick his choice by himself. He choose to become premium translator. And i remember someone said the premium translator must translate at least 14 chapters/week. I forgot who said that. He can get another translator, so we can get more chapters weekly, but he also chose not to do that, because he want to monopolize this novel. That's why i'm angry.

Tomz The translator has no say whether the novel goes premium or not. It's the bosses that are in charge. If they want the novel to go premium and the translator does not agree, well they are replaced. They do not have the rights to the novel, they are paid to translate it.

You were not paying for any services previously, and are still getting a service free of charge. The service has just slowed down. You are under no obligation to support the translators if you do not want to, but please do not have such an entitled attitude.

Tomz Its 11 chaps a week not 14. The translator said it in one of the latest chaps at the bottom. Read and be informed.

A_Baby_Seal Yeah because the importance between a patient's life and a chapter of a novel has the same value, very nice comparison. Also, get fired? A boss forcing his employees to work despite having health problems and/or family problems isn't really a boss who's worth working for. Our family runs a business and we care for our employees' health, mentality and emotion, we don't force them to go clock in when they're sick or has family issues, we give them time to sort their shit out because having them clock in in an unstable state would only worsen the problem..... Oh wait, you don't care right? Because you would just fire them. A nice way to handle a business right? "You missed a day! You're fired!"

I get the feeling that you're the type that would complain about a missing extra free ketchup packet even if you already have one and don't really need it.

A_Baby_Seal actually, many doctors refuse certain types of operations if the risk of malpractice is too high. In some cases, even if the doctor is confident in their ability to perform the procedure, the hospital will not allow it.
This is a very US centric example though since US lawyers are overly active in seeking opportunities to represent clients in malpractice law suits.

TitaniaPrime Qidian international is targeted at a Western audience. Of course readers are going to have Western ideals of service. In the US, an employee is lucky if their employers recognize that illness can impact performance and give them time off so that more time isn't needed to fix mediocre work. It has almost nothing to do with altruism but profit. Welcome to capitalism.

A_Baby_Seal Stupid baby seal these are the facts:
exactly 1 week ago LoHP was at chapter 615, now after 7 days we are at 631. Including the chap 615, the release rate is 17 chapters/week. What more are you asking for? Let me quote yo for your stupid comment before you say anything more stupid.

A_Baby_Seal No its at 11 chapters a week. Read the updates and don't make false comments.
