But seriously, it was such a tragic chapter. He was such a bully as a kid - a silkpants even, but his Nirvanic Rebirth essentially scrambled his brains and altered his personality (a bit).
UnhingedTaboo I couldn't agree more. RI is in my opinion the best wuxia that has been translated so far. It's what I would imagine a TRUE immortal journey would be like. I actually prefer ISSTH to Pursuit of Truth. The cultivation method is a mess in POT.
AWE is a big let-down. Er Gen tried to write something different and I think he missed. The humour is cringeworthy and most of the comedic situations involving the MC are amateurish at best. I think Bai Xiaochun would have been slapped to death in the first 100 chapters if he would have been a character in RI or ISSTH. But that's just my opinion. I appreciate some comedy but not if it overshadows the story entirely.
Evander Bai Xiaochun wouldn't be able to survive a week, in either the ruthless world of RI or in the savage clans of Pot/BtD. He is a bit too lucky, and in those world god of luck is dead(Ignoring Greed here, he is OP in Luck). And even if he is ucky and obtains some form of treasure or legacy, he will be hunted down by the entire world instantly and nor his village or friends will be spared. His antics will be his downfall.
As for in ISSTH, he will surely survive a bit as there is balance in the sects and respect btw each other and may even get a chance to blossom into an expert, but this only applies if his starting point is not Reliant Sect, otherwise he is fucked!!!(P.S. he won't be able to become a supreme expert in this case too)
Veldora He is not just a little shotacon, don't you remember whenever Haowie was in danger, he will appear and save his ass..... this means Haowie was under surveillance all the time, those perverted eyes of Nine seals have seen everything it is to see about Meng Hao.(With clothes on and off)
