Well as long as they
I'm a sucker for PvE anyways so I don't mind it either. As long as they give us what they promised and it's interesting enough.

TheLonerLion The normal way. I sent my application at the end of February to their recruitment mail, then received an editor test and passed it, so it's been around half a year since I started working for QI.

Good lord. It's really been at least half a year already :O Where's our "half-year" celebration party?

Wait... I'm more senior than Gem? @_@ What sorcery is this?

DarkGem Your cat is so cute! I don't dare to get one for fear of them damaging my furniture with their vicious claws.

how is it like to be an editor?

6927 Actually it's pretty fun. I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much before joining. The editing itself is work, but it's work I can enjoy doing because I get to work on chapters that I'd be reading anyway. And I get them earlier than anyone else! I'm usually 20-30 chapters ahead of everyone else on my own novels, which is pretty awesome. I also get to discuss the newest events with the translators, so it's pretty fun. We can bash the novel (if something stupid happens) or praise it (if something brilliant does) or share the sadness (on a heart-breaking moment).

This leads me to another point. I like everyone in QI I had interacted with for official reasons or just chatting for fun. I also made a lot of friends, with some of which I'm even planning to meet in real life. I'm really looking forward to it!

There's also the drama. It can be tough sometimes, but at the same time - you can never be bored!

On a more serious note, the workload itself isn't bad. I got to choose how much I want to work (how many novels with how many chapters per week), and though it's getting troublesome (didn't change my load from the summer when I was free) with the classes starting in university, I don't plan on lowering my load. Not until I really see I can't take it anymore. I really like everyone I'm working with at the moment, so abandoning any of the novels would be a tough choice for me.

Zenobys As long as you get a scratching post and have nothing made of leather, you'll be fine ;D

DarkGemthanks for the detailed answer, if you wanted to describe your work in 5 words what would they be?

Thanks, Nou. You seem to understand my working environment very well :D

6927 I think Nou explained it best. Besides that, I don't know what five words to choose and prefer my very long answer. Being short and concise was never my strong suit... Thus, I'll give you my dear Iris in exchange for an answer. She sat like that for a whole half an hour a few days ago, calmly watching as I edit xD

DarkGem sorry for my continuos questions but i'm really curious

6927 No problem, you can ask as much as you want :) As to skills, you mean for editing? I think, it's pretty self-explanatory. You have to have a good grasp of English grammar, as well as a sense of flow, and English idioms.
