Hello! So I've been a reader of this app for 2 years now. It helped me a lot in my study breaks in the university since my freshman years and now I am on my 3rd year.

I have read a loooot of novels in this app already. Romance, action, historical, fantasy. Almost all the categories and genres. I mostly lean on the contemporary romance. However, the moment I try to explore a new novel to read after I finish one, it has almost the same plot from the previous one I've read. There is no more NEW THING OR NEW EXCITEMENT. NO NEW PLOTS. ALMOST EVERYTHING IS THE SAME.

Thus, it came to me. Maybe it is time to say goodbye. It was a memorable two years already. However, the only thing that keeps me is i think it is a waste to end it. After all the story passes and the days I logged in. I just wish to read something new and fresh. Hope you can help me!

    If you read too much, you soon will realize the plots repeat themselves here and there. Even more if you read the same subgenre. They rely on beaten to death formulas.

    So, what can I say? You read them all... Some authors will put a vampire, a demon or a a guy with a whip to conceal it's a new story, but it's not.

      By the way, I wrote two not so popular stories in the romance genre, but they step on fantasy because of supernatural elements.
      I used the fall and rise formula ( girl goes broke for some reason, and fights back to get her recognition). Love happens in the way. There's a rich guy, but he's not a billionaire. She doesn't wish his money because she wishes to get her own fame and fortune. He has a trauma, she has a trauma, their friends are in the way... There's crime, mystery, magic... I had fun writing, but it's really not into the popular taste.
      It's not well written, too.

      There are originals that are different and for free. Like mine To My Sunflower. A WW2 boys love that doesn't get read a lot. not discovered. Webnovel won't feature it much becuse it's not cliche and it's completed. I don't know why they contracted it. It's a failure here despite being commented as well written.

      The others, I've started: a fantasy action of a determined female warrior determined to save her husband, a god's avenger and a female crusader for justice. They won't be discovered here, because the majority don't want this kind of story.

      What you are seeing is the majority demand. Unfortunately, you'll have to search through the catalog of originals to find your gem.

              luckyone4812 Although I really want to recommend my book, I would not. Now I think of it, they are nothing really new, one is a system novel, the other a retired hero. Nothing special.
              I would suggest however you stop checking out the popular books for a while and reach out to new, unknown books. You will see some interesting plot.
              I don't know much about romance but I once read a book about a rich female mc in love with her Secretary. It was so novel I was shocked. The Ml was not some hidden billionaire, no rise and fall. The female mc was the one chasing the male lead. No evil bitches, just an unknown sweet romance. Yes unknown cause the book had less than a hundred thousand views. I wondered why, writing structure and grammar was good but it was not what people want.
              You can also take a break, try out other sites or genres you haven't tried before, then come back

                luckyone4812 I don't know if it's anything common but you can try mine. Although, the main genre is fantasy, it also offer tidbits of slice of life. It shall unveil the imperfections of what seemed perfect so in short, the characters are truly flawed humans so I really hope somehow people could relate to them. Hiding under their masks, carrying their past burdens alone and struggling to feel belong.

                      Hi! I have been told in the reviews my story isn't very cliché and I try to avoid too many overused topics. (Yes, I added the harem tag, but kissing ain't even happening until I develop all the characters as much needed for the readers to grow attached to, so no harem for awhile ---maybe even several volumes.)                           Feeling all the stories are the same?
                          Feel ya. I've been reading web novels for 4 years and really, many plots are already explored. Personally, I read to draw myself into another universe, so after a while, I decided to write my own story, heavily based on my background as a physicist. I would recommend it to you ONLY if you like slow-building tension. If you are interested in physics, then I strongly recommend the book to you. In any case, I have never seen a plot remotely close to it.

                          Well I’m uncertain if you're still reading the replies but maybe you should take a look at royalroad or look for novels on novelupdates but anyway I’ve been a reader for roughly four years so maybe I can give you some recommendations that you might not have read yet.

                          Hmmm..... some novels that I really liked were Reborn as My Love Rival’s Wife which is quite sweet and romantic along with being hilarious. My Disciple Died yet again is a good one too but hey I think all You Qian books are good. Game Loading is a good book (warning though it’s bl) and I think it might be unlikely you’ve read it. Kingdom’s Bloodline is of course an amazing although kinda convoluted but since you’ve been here for two years I suspect you’ve read it already. Oh and I liked the book Dragoon although it’s Japanese, I hope that doesn’t turn you off from reading it. And I guess ending this list I’ll also recommend the korean book, the great storyteller.
