First of all know that I am an amateur of good taste and I am strongly repulsed by any novel that would prove to be simply mediocre
To help you, here are my criteria
1. Male Lead: which means no Josei, Shoujo, Shoujo-Ai or Yuri
2. No Harem: you have no idea how much hatred and contempt I feel towards those who write, read and enjoy this kind of story
3. No Gender Bending: most of these stories prove to be deeply uncomfortable, this is mainly due to the fact that the authors are in the majority of cases devoid of any form of understanding of the opposite sex and sometimes of the same sex
4. No Fujoshi, Shounen Ai or Yaoi
5. Transmigration/Reincarnation are a must: it is easier to represent oneself, to understand, to appreciate and to identify with a character who has shared or shares a system of values with which we are familiar and to witness their confrontation with codes and norms that do not belong to our common knowledge
6. No wobbly capitalist pseudio society based solely on force: if you have the nerve to recommend such a story to me, I would be happy to rate very poorly the so-called novel and leave there a detestable review.
No more seriously, if you know NOTHING about capitalism and do not understand what such a society would imply do not tempt the devil by writing or trying to make sense of this kind of novel. This is a major problem with the authors besides: they seem unable to grasp the functioning of the society in which they live and yet they seek to throw us off the pompous world building
7. A little common sense: a little coherence to the story
8. Western/Eastern fantastic or just science fiction
9. More than 40 chapters: less ? I won't even bother to read your novel
10. The last but not the least: a mature MC, growth and development of an MC are very important in a story. I don’t deny that. HOWEVER, THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT I WANT A HORMONE-FUELED TEENAGE ASSHOLE ACTING LIKE A LITTLE PRICK AND MESSING UP WHEREVER HE GOES WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS

    Here's a good novel (fan-fic, multiverse travel) that fits your criteria and its pretty good. Its not one of those cringe ass fanfics where the mc just tries to go for girls, it has a lot of original concepts and its chapter length is amazing. 1 chapter for this is 2-4 chapters for other stories.
