Hello, 2 days ago I read your story and left an honest review on it. I actually really enjoyed it and gave you a 5 star review. Today I saw that you reviewed my story, the comment read that the story was great, although you gave it only 3 stars. Which was the lowest review I've received on my story and brought down the overall rating. After a little research on the forum and visiting the activity on your page I can see that you are leaving the same quick review and 3 star rating for everyone you rate, and can deduce that the likelihood of you reading any of our stories is very low. I understand the desire to use the forum as a quick way to get reviews. But I feel the way you are doing this is very disrespectful to our writing and the hard work we have put into it. Especially when I took the personal time out of my own day to read your story and give it an honest review. Not to mention, giving people a 3 STAR REVEIW when you haven't even read our stories? Not only is this kind of rude to assume the quality of a story you have not read, but it will not be beneficial for you in the future as USUALLY when you leave that kind of review on a writer's story, that person will tend to respond with a similar rating to yours. which will result in many three star ratings for you.
Like I said before, I understand wanting to use the forum as a quick way to get reviews on your story. But please play by the rules that the rest of us are playing by, and put in some effort to appreciate our writing in the same way that I have appreciated yours.

                    I actually was surprised to see a review, since my post was a while back. Although it was a generic review, which many do, I also saw the star rating. Which is fine if you truly felt that way, but like Meggie, I also noticed you copy and pasted your reviews and left others with 3 stars. Because of this, I will not be reviewing your novel. I will delete your review on my novel, since I will not be reviewing yours, hence it wouldn't be a swap so it wouldn't be fair to you.
                    If you would like to sincerely give an honest review, then I am good with reviewing yours.
                    I understand that review swaps are hit and miss, but the rule of thumb is to at least read the chapters (3 or more) before reviewing.

                        MichelleLeeee If it was an honest review spelling things out, I wouldn't mind myself and possibly some authors wouldn't take it in the negative light. But to have someone tear another down for their success will not get one anywhere.

                                RoseOfBlues Honest review as in constructive criticism. I agree, no to berating and demeaning authors -new and old- because that does not help at all. I'm saying more of "don't just copy paste your reviews" and at least write what was interesting, Make it atleast personal, you know? There is already a bad rep of reviews are all faked. Lets not add to that pot.
